JEN  STARR

 

I've been looking for an opportunity to bring in a guest artist this fall and Jen just happened to fall into our lap.  A class cancellation on her fall tour enabled us to snag her.

 

 

Jen is a fully Certified and Ranger Recognized Instructor.  She works with well known manufacturers including 7 Gypsies, Stampers Anonymous, Faber Castell, Basic Grey and Prima.  She recently designed Tattered Angels 2012 Spring and Summer Limited Edition Glimmer Mists. 

 

Jen has created some wonderful mixed media classes and we will be offering the following.

 

 

 

Life is Beautiful Gate Book

Fee: $45

 

 

 

 

This is an 8x9 chipboard gate book with flipping and folding interactive pages inside.  You will work with die cuts from both Tim Holtz and Memory Box.  You will also use Distress Inks, Gesso and Crafter's Workship Templates by Dyan Reaveley.  AND you will get to use some of Jen's favorite Glimmer Mist colors from the Spring/Summer Limited Edition collection.  The focus of this class is inky techniques and book construction. 

 

 

Steampunk Montage

The inspiration for this double 8x10 canvas wall hanging comes from Tim Holtz.  It is full of texture, inks, stamps, Idea-ology, Sizzix dies, UTEE and more.  

 

 

Imagine the Possibilities Mini-Book 

Fee: $45

 

 

 

This little book is packed with techniques!  You will focus on an easy stitched book binding technique.  You will work with Distress Stains.  You will use Idealogy embellishments, Sticky Back canvas, Tim Holtz stamps and texture fades, fabrics and Stickles.  When done, it will be ready to be filled with photos or maybe some art journaling....
