Happy New Year

Let the fun and games begin again! Lisa has outdone herself yet another time. You're just going to love this new set of classes.

VALENTINE INCHIES - Jan 6, 8 & 9th: This class features a set of cards featuring the "inchie" craze. You will receive a set of clear stamps with this class.

GRUNGEBOARD CREATIONS - Jan 13, 15 & 16th: Have you wondered what else you can do with grungeboard? Take this class and find out. You will need a pair of good scissors such as the Tim Holtz by Tonic.

DEMO DAY - Saturday January 17th: All Day and FREE. Make-It-Take-It is back!

VALENTINE VARIETY: Jan 20, 22 & 23rd: As the title suggests, this is a variety class. Different styles, different techniques. A good class for learning or re-learning techniques you haven't used in a while.

Remember always to bring your Basic Class Kits with you to classes. A Basic Class Kit is a "traveling" tote, bucket, or caddy filled with basic paper crafting tools. If you need a list of must haves, call and we'll mail, email, or tell you what you should have. What you don't have lying around the house, we have available for purchase.

Every year at this time we take a short vacation. We are currently closed until Jan 6th. If you have questions, call and leave a message. I'll be checking messages from time to time and either Lisa or I will call you back as quickly as possible.

Have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Until next post.......Happy Stampin'!

Seasons Greetings

As Christian believers Lisa and I reflect on the meaning of the birth of our Saviour regularly. Many days I find I don't reflect the unconditional perfect love of God, but I know what it is. As John 3:16 says "God so loved the world that He sent His one and only Son"....which continues in 17 to say "to save the world through Him." (NIV) As the world debates whether there is life after death, I rest, knowing that God so loved me and you so much that He gave the greatest Gift - life for eternity. I can't do what He has done for us, I can only rejoice that He did it and praise Him for it. It is my Christmas wish that you will feel and know the true love of our God and our Saviour, Jesus, The Christ. And that in that knowledge will you find true joy and peace. If you don't know Jesus, and therefore don't know God, I pray you will see the true love of God, His Christ, our Peace in the joy of this Christmas season.

For those of you who are patiently waiting, the party is about to begin. As mentioned previously, we have set aside this Saturday for a very special unveiling of the 2009 Hero Arts Catalog and products. Party starts at 10 am and will continue through 5 pm. We purchased 3 different "Preview Packs" so we will have a good variety of the new stamps and products in stock, ready and waiting to go home with you. In keeping with our 2 day After-Christmas sale, all rubber stamp products will be 20% OFF and all PrePaid Hero Orders will be 20% OFF as well. We think we have plenty of catalogs to last the day, so don't get your knickers in a twist if you can't be here at 10 o'clock sharp. SPECIAL NOTE: There will be NO product or catalog available before Saturday. We cannot hold catalogs or merchandise.

Lisa's class schedule will be available at the Saturday Preview Party. Although I haven't had a peek at what she has's always packed with fabulous projects so plan to sign up Saturday.

We will be closed from Sunday, December 28 through Monday, January 5th. We go back to our normal Tuesday through Saturday schedule at that time.

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

Correction! Correction!

Hero Arts Preview Celebration Discount is 20% on all Prepaid Orders and all rubber stamp merchandise.

Lisa Published in Somerset Gallery

Oh Yess........someone we know and love has been published. Our very own Lisa Bruno has had two of her wonderful projects published in the Winter 2009 edition of Somerset Gallery. Both projects were classes that everyone loved. Those of you who pre-ordered a copy may come by and pick it up any time because THEY'RE HERE! If you did not order a copy and would like one, please let us know and we will make another order.

Also available is Take Ten, Stampers' Sampler, and a new publication called Artists' Cafe. Although we can reorder any magazine you want, if you want it now........well you better come get one before it's gone! (ooohh - scare tactics! Ha Ha)

Christmas is on it's way. Gift certificates are always available for both Lisa's classes or store merchandise. Don't forget to let the ones who love you know you'd like one.

We're going to have some really groovy specials over the next few weeks before Christmas. We have some things we want to move out before the new year comes around. Be watching for emails and blog specials.

Since there are no classes or a Demo Day in December we will be having a special stamping event. Lisa's January class schedule will be available and we will have a Hero "PreBook" Party. Because we are a "Premiere" dealer and order their pre-packs we are able to offer you the opportunity to get a Hero 2009 catalog and some of the new merchandise before it is available nationally. Our "PreBook" Party will be Saturday, December 27 from 10 to 5.

We'll be open regular hours Friday and Saturday. We'll be open Wednesday til 2pm and closed on Thursday.

November Demo Day & the News

I can't believe how fast time flies when you're having a good time. Didn't we just have Demo Day last week??? Oh No! It was last month! Good news is November's is tomorrow!

Demo Day seems early, but it's never too early for Demo Day is it? We'll have the usual FREE Make-It-Take-It and this time we will have a special Catalog Order Party for B Line Designs. You may order anything you like out of their catalog. If you make a prepaid $20 order you will receive a specialty B Line Stamp Necklace. Lisa and I will be wearing one so you can see what it is like. This is a special gift from B Line Designs and can only be acquired during the Order Party.

Remember to pick up your Christmas Tag Swaps if you participated. That's Lisa's tag on the right. Of course, you know I think all the tags are wonderful. Talent abounds among our customers. You can see all the tags at the Christmas Tag Swap Web Album (click here). Enjoy!

There will be no classes in December. A January schedule will be available the day after Christmas. It will be posted on the blog before New Year's Eve.

We will be hosting a Holiday Open House Saturday November 22. There will be refreshments, a goody bag for the 1st 50 guests, a free gift with $25 purchase and a 20% storewide discount for the day. Since we rarely offer the storewide discount, this would be a good time to do a little Christmas shopping. You can also register to win 1 of 2 Old World Christmas Baskets. If you've never shopped for gifts, you are in for a treat.

That's about it for now......until next post....Happy Stampin'

InkaDinkaDo Buy 2 Get 1 Free........The new selection is here. There is a little how-to idea brochure that is free with purchase. The brochures are limited in number so please do not take one if you don't buy any of the stamps.....DO feel free to take any of the older brochures from past "buy 2 get 1 free" programs that are left over. As you can see from the picture, there are a few of the Halloween stamps left over so these are Buy 1 Get 1 Free on Demo Day only.

Demo Day Special.......Remember last month's Clear Mini Stamp special? We have just received a Christmas selection of these same stamps. On Demo Day only we will be offering these mini clear sets as a Buy 2 Get 1 Free. At $1.99 each they are already a bargain and they won't last long.

Halloween Swap......If you participated in the Halloween Swap, remember to pick up your bag of swaps. Christmas Tag Swap......Many of you who were unable to participate in the Halloween Swap have expressed an interest in a Christmas Tag Swap. If you are interested, pick up a packet at Demo Day which will include 10 tags and instructions. Your altered tags will be due on November 8th and will be returned to you on the 15th (November Demo Day). This will give you 3 weeks to create your fabulous works of Christmas art to share. The New and the Old News at My Heart's Fancy

Memento Ink Pads
We had a request from one of our favorite customers, Barb H, who uses Copic markers for a variety of projects. She loves them, but has found that there are very few ink pads that don't smear when she uses the markers. She searched around until she found just the right pad - Memento by Tsukineko. If you use Copics, this is the ink pad for you. We ordered Black and Brown for her and have stocked a few extras for those of you out there who are interested. If you want other colors, let us know....we can get them too.

Artgirlz Witch Kits
We still have a few black or lime green witch kits available. These are the cutest kits you've ever seen. They were an incredible hit last year and so far this year have been highly sought after as well. We also have an Elf kit available. Everything you need but the needle and thread is included.

New 12 x 12 Papers
We just got a new batch of beautiful 12 x 12 Christmas papers. These papers have just a bit of sparkly glitter and will be great used in collages or as backgrounds in a project or card.

Miracle Tape
For those of you who have enjoyed Increditape in the past, we now have a new, more dependable supplier. Their product is known as Miracle Tape and is a better value for money. You get about 33% more transfer tape for the same price. It is available in 4 widths, a small sheet and the cutter holder is back. This is a must have basic kit item and you won't want to live without it.

Halloween Swap
Don't forget to turn in your Halloween Swap by 5pm on Saturday. If you just can't get them here by Saturday, give me a call and we'll see what we can work out. I may have an alternate solution, but I need time to get them photographed so we can put them on a web album for everyone to see. We posted web albums with the Valentine Tag Swap and the Summer ATC Swap so everyone could see what they didn't get in their packs. It's always fun to see other people's work!

That's about it for now......until next post......Happy Stampin'

Cute Halloween Project

Halloween is in the Air!

Our friend Susie Watkins dropped by with a little show and tell. This is just the cutest variation of a box Lisa did a couple of years ago. Susie said she had thought about painting the box, but didn't. I think it looks great just the way it is. Lisa said she'd never thought of using "squares" of printed paper, but now she's got a whole new perspective. I love it when people share.......

Speaking of sharing......don't forget to turn in your Halloween Swaps by Saturday. We've already received a couple of really creative ones. If you haven't gotten a packet, come by and pick up one....there's still plenty of time to get one done! Remember, the only restriction is that you use the provided cards and use a Halloween theme. We want you to have fun and the name of the game here is sharing.....

If you are still interested in one of Lisa's classes, give us a call. There are still openings in some of them. The Bird Tag Shadow Box class is full, BUT there still seems to be a few who missed getting in so Lisa is taking names for an additional class. Call if you want to take this class and she'll throw it on the next schedule. This project makes a fabulous gift and several people have taken it more than one time for just this reason.

That's about it for now.......until next time.....Happy Stampin!

What's New!

Demo Day and the Latest at My Heart's Fancy

My how time flies when you're having a good time and a good time is what we've been having here around My Heart's Fancy. Lisa's classes have been more popular than ever and we can hardly keep up with all the requests for new stamps and products. Lisa just returned from a special "Make-It-Take-It" and shopping extravaganza for stamp/scrapbook stores given by one of our "Reps of the Trade". She got some good ideas and saw some new stuff we hope to get in the near future.

Demo Day is Saturday so be prepared for another rip-roarin fabulous class schedule. As you know, Lisa is vey talented and creative and always has a great line-up of classes for you to choose. Remember you must pay for your classes when you sign up to guarantee your seat is saved.

Demo Day Special!
We just received a really cute assortment of mini Halloween and Thanksgiving clear sets. They are priced at just $2 each and on Demo Day you will get 1 set free if you purchase 2 sets. There is also a special priced group of ink pads for $1 each in an assortment of fall colors and they are just perfect for travel.

Halloween Swap!
That's right, we're sponsoring another swap. A couple of years ago I found Jumbo Playing cards on the $1 spot at Target. I bought 20 decks, but can only find one. Some time ago we decided we'd use those for an altered card swap, but I can only find 1 deck. Don't worry, we'll get cards ready for you anyway and we'll have the best Halloween swap ever! The rules are: Alter 10, bring them to us and we'll swap them with altered cards from 10 other people! It's always fun. Pick up your packet Saturday at the Demo. You have until Saturday, October 11 to get them altered. We'll make the swaps and return them to you on Demo Day, October 18! The only requirement is that you use a Halloween Theme.

That's all for now. Until next time......Happy Stampin!

I didn't get mine done in time to participate, but plan to get it done by the end of next week. Since I missed the deadline, my "bad girl" punishment is to make 50. The 1st thirteen will go to the participants and the rest will be available to non-participants on a 1st come 1st served basis until they are gone. I'll let you know when they are available here on the blog.

What's Happenin' This Week

Welcome Back! We had a great Independence Day holiday weekend. It's been a bit crazy since we got back trying to catch up, but things are getting back to normal. I hope you enjoyed your share of fireworks and picnic food!

My Favorite Things

We got in a small batch of the very newest clear sets from My Favorite Things. You'll want to check them out. You can see a few cute samples on
Split Coast (select company samples and then My Favorite Things).

7 gypsies
New Photo Carousel - Just like
the ATC carousel only for 4x6 photos! You'll love this if you want to do a photo album without the book. The carousel comes with 10 clear sleeves. We also have black index tabs, color transparency frames and refill photo sleeves to fit this one. The ATC size carousel is also in stock with a variety and we have a variety of pockets, sleeves, and transparence frames for it also.

ATC Swap

Remember that we extended the deadline for entries to July 19 (Demo Day). We've already received a few and they are so cool. We still have packets if you want to use our precut ATC cards, but you can use any cards that are 2-1/2" x 3-1/2", roughly the size of a playing card (heck, use playing cards if you want!). Make 10 all the same or'll get 10 back from 10 other rubber stamp artists (and yes, I've been convinced to join in as well....Denis the Dcuk being my theme!). We still have a few copies of the Tweety Jill ATC book if you need one. Lots of inspiration and ideas fill this beautiful full color book.

Demo Day Reminder
Demo Day is Saturday, July 19th. Lisa accidently typed the 20th on her class schedule so we wanted to make sure you were aware of the correct date. For those of you who know Danica, she's promised to help us. Ask her to show you her engagement ring! It's beautiful.

That's about it for now.......until next post.....Happy Stampin'!

The Latest News

More on Last Weeks News

As you know, last week Lisa took off for Padre Island and I scrambled to keep up with her work and mine. What a challenge. I'll be soooo glad when I see her Thursday.

I mentioned a couple of things last Thursday and today I've got photos.

Tim Holtz Goodies....Yes, the last bit of Tim Holtz treasures finally arrived after being on back order forever and a day. We also got the earlier items restocked so the Tim Holtz display is full and waiting for you. Pictured are the newer items to hit the shelves. Of course you know he's got great ideas over on his blog site so be sure you get on over there if you want some inspiration for these neato keeno goodies.

Inkadinkado.....the Buy 2 Get 1 Free package arrived and the stamps are quite cute (as I mentioned previously) Here is a picture of the whole kit-n-kiboodle along with the how-to flyer. I'm as excited about this collection as I was about the last one. We shoulda ordered 2 sets, but we'll get right on that reorder as soon as Lisa gets back. In the mean time, be sure to check it out on Demo Day.

Oh....speaking of Demo Day.......Remember it's this Saturday. You come and go from 10:30 to 4 and we always have a FREE Make-it-Take-it for you. Lisa's full July schedule should be available and we'll hand out the new Hero Arts Summer Supplement.
Until next post......Happy Stampin'!

New Stamps and Such

Just a Quick Note to Let You Know........

With Lisa on vacation, I have little time to photo so you're just going to have to trust me here.....the NEW HERO ARTS arrived yesterday and is on the shelf. You're going to love these new extra large background stamps and the 12" clear border stamps (Well, they're not really 12 inches long, but they are to be used on 12" paper). We got the 12" (no, they're not 12 inches either) acrylic blocks for them too. Our new Summer 2008 supplements have been delayed, but I do think we'll have them by Demo Day.

Speaking of Demo Day.........REMEMBER it's being held Saturday the 28th this month.

Also Inkadinkado's Buy 2 Get 1 stamps are here. They should be on the shelf by tomorrow. It's a nice collection that will coordinate with the "Fancy That" collection from their Summer 2008 supplement of correspondence stamps. The "Fancy That" collection has been very popular.

Check back Friday and hopefully there will be pictures of the new stamps. Better yet, just come on by and see for yourself.

Until next post.......Happy Stampin'!
