The friend Lisa and I affectionately call "Gelli Kelley" returns to teach this wonderful bookbinding project.  Using the 4" or 6" round Gelli Art printing plate, you will create fun mono-printed papers to use to make the book of your dreams!  You will need your own round Gelli Plate, but Kelley provides the rest!

Mono Printing on Cards

Learn how to use the 3x5 Gelli Arts printing plate to create soft, visually pleasing, layered backgrounds for your cards.  You will also use some of the newest stamps from Penny Black.  Lisa will provide a Gelli plate and brayer for each table.  Gelli plates and brayers are available for purchase at the store if you wish to use your own for class.

Demo Day is a week late this month.  Can't have Demo Day without Lisa and she is attending the wedding of her long lost niece in California on the regular weekend. It's a beautiful story and it just wouldn't be right if she had to miss it.  In any case, we will have just as much fun as ever and you can see and sign up for August classes.  We will have a wonderful Make-it-Take-it for you as well.

Fly Canvas

I get a lot of comments on this project which has been sitting in the display case (commonly known as "the front counter").  All of the supplies are still available so when we have enough requests, we throw it on the schedule.  If you have been drooling over admiring this canvas, now is the time to create this beauty.

Dina Wakley returns August 14-16 to teach 4 fabulous workshops.  I will have information posted here at the end of the week or first of next week.  Mark your calendar.  You will want to take advantage of this opportunity!

We always have a great time on Demo Day.  This past Saturday was no exception.  Check out the cool Make-It-Take-It Lisa created for you to make.....

It was made using Stephanie Ackerman's Flowers #5 thinlits/stamp set by Sizzix.  So very cute.  The Jar stamp is from Inkadinkado and stamped exceptionally well on the glasseine mini bag.  Thanks Lisa!  We love it!

The Little Details:

Class Fees:  Class fees are due at the time of enrollment.  You can pay by cash, check or credit card (when Lisa is present), or via Paypal.  If you are unable to attend your class, you may gift or sell it to a friend.  Refunds are available only when cancellations are received 2 full days prior to the class. 

Basic Class Kits:  You are required to bring a basic class kit to class.  This kit should include basic paper crafting tools.  If you are new to crafting and have questions, please call and I will be happy to help you gather the simple supplies you need.

Kelley loves to mono-print using her Gelli Arts printing plate.  A new art form she has been exploring is creating prayer flags based on a Tibetan tradition.  Using this idea, Kelley show you some fun and interesting ways to print on fabric.  She will even show you how to cut some stencils from your own designs.  Lunch break mid day.

What a great Demo Day we had on Saturday!  Lisa created the best Make-It-Take-It and even though the stamps we ordered didn't arrive, everyone had a great time.  Those who ordered the stamps will get them in plenty of time to use them to get those cards made for Christmas....

Lisa has a great line-up of classes.  Check them out below and then give me a call to enroll in one or all.  Payment is due at the time of enrollment, but don't panic if you cant get by immediately.  You can mail a check or Lisa can send you a Paypal invoice.  Just let me know how you want to handle it!

Lots going on in these cards.  The two cards using the Julie Nutting doll stamps have matching dies making these girls ideal for multiple cards.  Memory Box and Impression Obsession dies complete the other two cards.  You will have a lot of fun making these cards without all the hassle of "fussy" cutting!

Ah! Demo Day!  It brings such fun and laughter.  This past Saturday was no different.  We laughed and enjoyed helping friends to create this stunning Halloween card for our Make-It-Take-It.  One of our best.... don't you think?

The class schedule for August is brimming with wonderful classes.  Lisa created a wonderful assortment of card classes and projects and Kelley Walker will repeat her "Gelli Print - Long Stitch" class by popular demand.  So without further ado....  here are the descriptions!

Botanical Tea Tag Book

Graphic 45's new Botanical Tea is taking the paper art world by storm and this project is worthy of your time.  Join Lisa as she leads you through the steps she used to create this beautiful staggered tag book that can be used as a mini photo album.

Gelli Printing is all the rage right now!  It's so versatile and once you get started, it's so hard to stop.  Guaranteed fun and no two prints are alike!  Lisa taught this class in June and has been asked several times when she is going to do it again.... and it's now!  You will need a gelli plate.  Don't have one and not sure which size to get?  Fear not, Lisa will help you decide which size is best for you.  Then you can start having more fun than you ever imagined.

Die-Cut Extravaganza

Die cut cards are quite popular and this class will have you creating amazingly beautiful cards using layers of die-cut designs.  You will also make the beautiful box which will hold your cards in style from 2 pieces of 12x12 paper.  Your box will be adorned with a beautiful flower you will create using Tim Holtz's Jumbo Tattered Floral Die, glitter and more.  A wonderful gift... Lots of fun to make!

Gelli-Print Long-Stitch

This two part class is an all day extravaganza.  Kelley taught this class a couple of weeks ago and it has gotten quite a lot of attention.  You'll print in the morning (no experience required) and after a quick lunch break return to learn a wonderful "long-stitch" style of book binding.  You can see what the students created in the last class on Kelley's blog "One January Day".  Class includes the use of a Gelli Plate if you don't have one, all paper and book making supplies as well as the use of Dina Wakley's new paints.  

Distress Style Organizer

Kaisercraft has a great collection of organizers for your studio.  Lisa has chosen this desk organizer to assemble and decorate with papers from Tim Holtz's Wallflower Paper Collection.  You will absolutely love this piece.  You will need to purchase the organizer from the store.

Oh so cute and oh so quick.  You will make this teensy tiny book from one piece of 12x12 paper.  So sweet.

As always you will need to bring your basic kit to class....  This includes scissors, ruler, heat tool, craft sheet, pencil, black ink pad, embossing ink pad, exacto knife, tweezers & anything else you would find handy on your craft table.  These are the things that are difficult to wait for when you really need them.

We had a blast Saturday.  After a quiet start, the fun kicked in.  Lisa's Make-It-Take-It was the cutest little Easter box made from the new Tim Holtz mini matchbox die and a sweet bunny die from Impression Obsession.  Forgot to take a picture.  I'll try to post one to Facebook on Tuesday.  She released a wonderful class schedule for April too.....  and here it is!

Altered Vintage Frame

Cute new frame from Prima.....  chipboard letters, "found relatives" and a pocket watch (all from Tim Holtz)....  voila'!  Bring your own picture if Tim's found relatives don't float your boat.  Very fun!

Join us for one or two of these fun classes - aw heck!  take 'em all!  

Paid class fees (required) saves your seat in the class(es) of your choice.  Basic supply kit required and should include pencil, ruler, scissors, sponge, tweezers, exacto knife, small cutting mat, 2 way tape or glue, heat gun, embossing pad, black ink pad, bone folder, non-stick craft mat and anything you can't craft without.
