Lisa has once again created a truely stunning line-up of classes just for you! They are beautiful, artsy and creative. No matter what you choose to take, you will enjoy crafting with a wonderful bunch of artists, some of whom are new stamp artists and some of whom have been stamping for quite some time. It is a time of fun and sharing you will treasure each and every time you take a class with us..... So without further ado..... here is October's list of classes

CLASSIC CHRISTMAS - Oct 5 & 8: Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner? Get started on your Christmas cards by making these 5 traditional cards in colors of red & green.

NATURE'S PRESENTATION - Oct 10: Inspired by a project on Catherine Moore's blog you will use stamps from Catherine's company, Character Construction. A truely fun and interesting project you'll be proud to say you made!

COLORS OF FALL - Oct 12 & 15: Wonderful set of cards in Fall colors. You will use distress inks, a resist technique from the Hero Art's blog and you will create a background that will be used to create not one but two cards!

DEMO DAY - SATURDAY, OCT 16: Always FREE..... Always a FREE Make-It-Take-It..... New Class Schedule available.....

MINI CANVAS CREATIONS - Oct 19: A repeat from September, this class is good for beginner and advanced artists. These mini canvases can be used as ornaments or shadow framed as a collection. A great gift or tuck-in when a gift is too much and a card is not enough.

METAL EMBOSSED LETTER - Oct 21: Fun for anyone who likes working with sheet metal and tools from Ten Seconds Studio. You will need to bring a wooden letter and your metal tools. If you don't have the tools, let us know so that we can order them for you.

WINTER WONDER PLAQUE - Oct 24: Our friend Mary made this wonderful wall hanging and gave permission for Lisa to teach it. This is a darling decoration for the winter holidays and would make a great gift .....

STEAMPUNK JOURNAL - Oct 26: A work of art, this journal is covered with paper from Graphic 45's new Steampunk collection. You will also embelish the cover with metallic paint dabbers, Tim Holtz's gears die. Covered inside and out, you will really enjoy creating this journal.....

2010 Oklahoma State Fair

SO...... i WenT tO tHe gReaT sTAte FaiR of OkLAhoMA.....

Yup... I did. Well, I had a purpose.... I entered photos in the photo exhibit and wanted to see if I won any ribbons (did, but that's an entirely different story). My very cool husband, Jeff, went with me. We had Frozen Bananas, Fried Okra and a Wine-A-Rita (mix available at our store). After alcohol, he was pretty much putty in my hands so I talked him into visiting the hobby & craft exhibits to see if any of our fab customers had won any ribbons.....

AND Yes they did! So I'm going to crow about it..... Cock-A-Doodle-Do! In the Stamping & Scrapbooking category (only one I checked) our good friends, Kay McKinnis, Debbie Musick, Sue Bowers, & Debra Zink won a variety of ribbons. Debbie won the most (I quit counting after 5) with a multitude of 1st Place Blues & 2nd Place Reds. She entered a halloween tag made in one of Lisa's class and it won a 2nd Place Red..... she won numerous ribbons in the scrapbooking catagory with a variety of very clever books and shadow boxes. Kay McKinnis won ribbons for scrapbook pages, altered can top, and a very lovely stamped greeting card. Sue Bowers won a ribbon for a beautifully tole painted scrapbook cover (she is a fabulous tole painter) and Debra Zink had a 1st place blue ribbon winning Altered Birdfeeder decorated with stamping, embelishments and scrapbook papers. Oh, and I must also tell you that her mother, Eileen Sullivan, (who is also one of our favorite shoppers) won a 1st Place ribbon for photography in the Scenic catagory! Way to Go People!

After so much excitement I promptly went home and collapsed on the couch.....

That's it for now..... Until next post..... Happy Stampin!

HALLOWEEN TAG SWAP

mY oH mY..... Tag swap was a huge success. Too many pictures to post here, but if you click on the Facebook Icon the link will take you to our Facebook Wall where you can find the photo album of tags. I think you will agree that everyone has something wonderful to share. If you participated and didn't make it by Saturday for Demo Day, your tags are waiting for you to be picked up.

Demo Day
We had great fun and everyone enjoyed making the really cool "goody" bag made with tags. Lisa comes up with the most creative ideas, but this idea was given to us by one of our customers, Rita R. Thanks Rita!

October Class Schedule
I will have the schedule, complete with pictures, posted by Tuesday evening. There are some really cool projects and the first Christmas classes of the season as well.

That's it for now..... Until next post..... Happy Stampin'!
