MOTHER'S DAY CARD

Presenting the "Oh My Gosh, I Forgot to Make It" Mothers Day Card

Lisa created this make-it-take-it card for a sweet gift show she participated in over the weekend. We thought you might enjoy this quick idea and if you haven't made your Mother's Day cards yet, you can just make this one!

Supplies needed:

  • Versamagic ink pads in Tea Leaves, Purple Hydrangea & Pretty Petunia
  • Yellow brush marker
  • Embossible Black ink pad
  • Lavender cardstock or cards
  • Impression Obsession Clear Set called Floral Duos II
  • Wood mounted "Happy Mother's Day" stamp by Impression Obsession
  • Wood mounted "Polka Dots" stamp by B Line
  • Clear embossing powder
Ink "Happy Mother's Day" stamp in black at the top center of the card. Emboss in clear. Ink silhouette 5 petal flower stamp in Pretty Petunia and stamp in the center (oh, come on now....just eyeball it) and then both outer edges. Then ink it in Purple Hydrangea and stamp in between the three flowers. Next, ink the silhouette leaf in Tea Leaves and stamp three times randomly between flowers on top and bottom keeping in mind you will be trimming lower edge away to expose card interior. Emboss in clear. Color center of flowers with yellow marker. Cut away bottom edge to create die-cut effect. Ink "Polka Dots" stamp in Pretty Petunia and stamp on bottom of inside of card. If you are not using cardstock with a white back, stamp image on an appropriately sized piece of white cardstock and attach to inside of card. Voila! You have just made a Gorgeous Mother's Day card!

We have put together a card kit containing the clear set, Versamagic dewdrops, wood mounted Mother's Day stamp, and 5 cards w/envelopes. Card copy and instructions will be included. APRIL'S DEMO DAY

Make-It-Take-It

Well another MHF demo day has come and gone. We had a lot of fun Saturday creating this fab Birthday Card with the "You Take the Cake" stamp set from our new stamp line called My Favorite Things. If you didn't get to come, you can make this card using the following instructions and supplies.
  • Versafine Ink Pads in Black and Sepia
  • Clear Embossing powder
  • Pink cardstock or folded notecard
  • Chocolate brown cardstock
  • White cardstock
  • Hero DesignBlock Birthday Stamp (S5027)
  • My Favorite Things "You Take the Cake" clear stamp set
  • McGill 3" Word Tags punch
  • Twinkling H2O in Pink Crocus, Burnt Umber, Mandarine Citrine, Fire & Ice, Mocha Rose
  • Brown/Pink Plaid gingham ribbon
Ink DesignBlock Birthday in Sepia Versafine and stamp on notecard. Gently sponge more Sepia Ink around the edges. Ink large square stamp from clear set in Black Versafine on white cardstock and emboss with clear embossing powder. Paint using H2O's. Cut out a piece of chocolate card stock large enough to attach painted image on top leaving space to attach the greeting. Wrap a piece of the gingham ribbon and tie in a knot on the left side. Trim ends to desired length. Attach painted image over ribbon on brown cardstock with glue or double stick tape. Attach brown card to left side of stamped notecard. Punch out word tag from a strip of white cardstock 2-7/8" x 5/8". Stamp "Best Birthday Wishes" from the clear set in Black Versafine on the word tag punch out and emboss with clear. Attach tag to card covering a portion of the brown cardstock and a portion of the stamped notecard with glue or double stick tape. Stamp the greeting of your choice inside and you've got a beautiful hand-made birthday card!

Remember our monthly Demo Day is the third Saturday of each month. You won't want to miss it. Lisa always has a fun, easy, and quick Make-It-Take-It for you, AND IT'S FREE!!!

Check back Friday and we'll have Lisa's new class schedule posted.
