August 2022
Classes
Preview Day was a great deal of fun. Everyone loved the FREE Make 'n Take. This shaker card is really cute and easy. All the supplies used to make this card were from Catherine Pooler. The ink pad is "Queen for a Day" and is a true purple which makes a great color for a jam jar.
Lisa brought a great set of classes for August. We had hoped that we would have the Halloween/Fall paper collections earlier, but they arrived today and we'll have them on the September schedule. We did get our first order of Christmas from Penny Black late Thursday and were pleased to present it on Saturday. If you didn't get by to see it, we do have at least 1 of each of the stamps and dies that we received for you to buy.
Let me show you what Lisa has in store for you in August! Remember that you can enroll in store or online (myheartsfancy.com) or by calling the store at 405-509-6788.
1 Background - 5 Cards - $35
Thursday, Aug 4
10:30 am OR 6 pm
This class was originally scheduled for early July, but had to be rescheduled. There are a few spaces still left in both classes, so don't be shy! This class is really a fun one because you can create 5 cards from one 9x12 hand made background. You'll make the background and then the cards. Distress inks make this fun and easy. You'll love this class!
Floral Variety - $35
Thursday, Aug 11
10:30 am OR 6 pm
This class is really lovely and there is one technique that makes 2 cards. Bonus! You'll use 3D embossing folders to make the additional cards that will be water colored. They are dreamy! You will enjoy learning how to use watercolor in a brand new way.
Master Page Fun - $35
Thursday, Aug 18
10:30 am OR 6 pm
Master pages are fun to create and fun to use. Think of them as your own custom patterned paper to use as card layers or in scrapbooks as frames for your pictures. They can be die cut in just about any shape. Let the fun begin as you choose colors, stencils, stamps and doodle pens. This is a favorite among our artsy friends. No two are alike and each one you create will be different from those of the past and those of the future - each one unique!

The third Saturday of the month is our day to present the classes for the next month. Come preview the classes for August AND enjoy a FREE Make 'n Take project or card. Quick & Easy Stamp Collage - $35
Thursday, Aug 25
10:30 am OR 6 pm
We have the new Floral Collage stamps by Tim Holtz and they have been a hit. Here Lisa uses them to make simple elegant cards using a variety of inks and techniques. She's bringing back a few techniques you haven't seen in a while. These backgrounds are simple and much easier than they look. They are then ready for a stamp and vi-ola! you're done!

Lisa and I share the teaching of this class and it is a favorite with many of our artsy friends. Art journaling is the place to practice and develop your style.
