CHRISTMAS BRACELET

Made with Tim Holtz' Fragment Charms and Graphic 45 Christmas paper. It's so simple and you can do it too... Glue the fragments to the paper using Glossy Accents, cut them out and use Tim Holtz' jump rings to attach it to a bracelet. You're good to go.... Have fun - it only takes about an hour and you'll have something everyone else wants!

SPECIAL EVENT

As you know we don't usually have a Demo Day in December, but we always have a Hero Preview Party after Christmas. This year will be no exception. Be watching for details in your emails and right here on the blog.

November 2009 Class Schedule

CLASS SCHEDULE
This will be the last round of classes for the year. There are 2 Christmas card classes, one Christmas necklace, and an all occassion card class. There will be one more Demo Day that you won't want to miss (we'll have details on our annual after-Christmas Demo Day). If you haven't signed up yet, there are lots of places still available. If you can't get by to sign up, give us a call and we'll get you on the schedule. You can send a check in the mail.

XMAS GO-ROUND - Nov 3, 5 & 6: Round cards created using the Justrite Stamper System we introduced at Demo Day. Two shaker cards are included.

TRADITIONAL XMAS - Nov 10, 12, & 13: Beautiful Christmas cards in traditional red and green colors.

DEMO DAY - NOVEMBER 21: Always FREE, Always FUN, Always a

Tim's Spooky Wall Hanging - Sunday Oct 4th: This really cute grungeboard project will make you smile! You get a pack of the Holiday Grungeboard with your class.

Christmas Pastels - Oct 6, 8 & 9th: You will make 5 fabulous Christmas cards using wonderful pastel papers from Cosmo Cricket's "Jolly by Golly" 6x6 paper pack. Not your traditional Christmas cards!

All About Fall - Oct 13 & 16th: Beautiful fall cards you'll be able to use for a variety of occasions.

Demo Day - Saturday, October 17th: Always FREE! Always a Make-it-Take-it. New class schedule debuts! Don't miss it. It's come and go from 10am to 4pm!

Tim's "3" Tags of Xmas - Oct 20 & 23: So many people have requested a class for Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas that it made the list. This class features 3 of them. You will learn some of Tim's more interesting techniques. You will need to provide your own Holiday Grungeboard for this class.

Blue Christmas Repeat - Oct 22 & 27: This class was such a hit for September that a huge waiting list was created. There are still spaces available so don't hesitate to jump in!

A Box and A Bell - Oct 29 & 30: You will create a box and a bell from new stamps we have picked up from Holly Berry House. These are elegant projects and you will want to make many more to use as decorations or gift boxes.

HERE'S WHAT'S NEW

LOCKHART STAMPS & INCHIE ARTS

I've had this post planned for a long time, but the stamps & supplies have never been in stock long enough to post. However, we have now built up quite a good inventory of them and I'm happy to be able to post the information.

As you know, the new craze is INCHIE ART. Some of the cutest inchie art stamps we've seen come from Lockhart Stamps and they have indeed been very popular here at My Heart's Fancy. Another great inchie company is Inchie Arts, a company which produces a variety of paper products just for inchie art projects. There are notecards, 1"x1" squares, collector pages, accordian books & background papers. We now have a great selection of products from both companies and if you haven't been here in a while, you ought to stop by to see what they have to offer. I'm sure you'll agree that the photo above doesn't do them justice. You just have to see them for yourself.

CHRISTMAS COOKIE RECIPE CARD SWAP!

That's right! We're sponsoring another great swap. Stop by Saturday to pick up your package of 10 recipe cards to be altered. The cards are really cute mini file folders sized to fit right in your 4x6 recipe boxes. The rules are simple..... let your imagination run wild as you decorate the cards. Be sure to include your favorite Christmas cookie or bar cookie recipe and have a good time altering the card. Return them by Saturday, October 10th. We'll sort them, photo if possible for a web album, and return 10 different recipe cards to you on October's Demo Day which is the 17th! I don't know about you, but I'd sure like some new cookie recipes to try this holiday season!

Class Schedule for September 2009

September Classes are filled with fun and exciting Halloween cards and projects. There is a really beautiful Christmas card class included as well. Remember that prepayment holds your place in class and classes may fill quickly. If you can't drop by to sign up in person, give us a call and we'll hold your place for 48 hours. Send Lisa a check in the mail, or come by at a more convenient time within the next 2 days.

CLASSY HALLOWEEN - Sept 1, 3 & 4th: You will make 5 "classy" Halloween cards that will really impress you. They look hard, but are really easy.

INCHIE GIFT SET - Sept 8, 10, & 11: Inchies are the rage..... you'll make 5 mini cards and a portfolio. Wonderful, quick and easy. Perfect for a gift.

HALLOWEEN WALL HANGING - Sept 15 & 18: Stunning piece of artwork. You know Lisa always offers you great projects and who knows, maybe it'll get published!

DEMO DAY - Saturday, Sept 19: ALWAYS FREE, ALWAYS FUN, ALWAYS A MAKE-IT-TAKE-IT... 10 to 4 - Come and Go. New Class Schedule and lots of new merchandise make this a hit evey month! Don't miss it!

FUNNY HALLOWEEN - Sept 22, 24 & 25: Fun and Sweet. Cute but not cutesy... Fairly traditional. Good cards for friends and kids alike.

BLUE CHRISTMAS - Sept 29, Oct 1 & 2: It's never to early to start your Christmas cards and you will love this take on the theme. Lovely blue cards that just smack of winter and the season. Peaceful and different.

Remember to bring your class kit. It includes basic paper crafting tools. If you don't know what to include, give us a call and we'll help you get it together. Most items can be purchased at My Heart's Fancy, but many of the supplies you will have on hand.

SATURDAY IS DEMO DAY

Yup, it's Demo Day again! It's FREE! It's FUN! AND there is always a FREE Make-It-Take-It. I can't exactly tell you what Lisa has planned but it will be cute and it will be a Halloween project.

NEW STUFF
We will have a few new things on Saturday you'll want to grab while you're here. New 6x6 paper tablets and 12x12 paper & CUTE Halloween clear sets from Cosmo Cricket are due to arrive just in time for Demo Day. We should also have new 6x6 paper packs from Memory Box as well. There will be an assortment of Christmas stamps and new gemstones for Fall and Christmas from Memory Box. We also have a couple of new punches from McGill pictured below.

Lisa's hit class project, Bird Tag Shadow Box, was chosen to be featured in the current issue of Somerset Home. This class was such a hit she taught it 7 times! We have sold out of the issue, but will be getting a few more copies, so if you want one, let us know.

Stamper's Sampler

One of our favorite customers, Margo't Benda, was published in Stamper's Sampler. You can find her card on page 52 of the Aug/Sept 2009 issue. It's a stunning card. Congratulations Margo't! We are also sold out of this issue, but as noted before, we'll order one for you if you want it.

AUGUST CLASSES

I've said it before and I'll say it again..... Lisa has outdone herself. Once again she brings you a great line-up of classes. You will want to take all these great classes.

Flowers Abound - Aug 4, 6 & 7: A lovely collection of cards with a flower theme. Some are pastel and some are bright. You will use Tombo pens, colored pencils, and Twinkling H20's.

Idea-ology Jewelry - Aug 11 & 14: Using Tim Holtz's line of Idea-ology findingss, you will create two fabulous necklaces. Keep one for yourself and give one as a gift - or just keep them both!!!! This class will be co-taught by our friend and customer, Debbie Lynch. Debbie has come up with a great way to use ink-jet shrink to creat the embellishments for her design.

DEMO DAY - Saturday, Aug 15: Always FREE, always a Make-It-Take-It. New class schedule for September will be available.

Simplistic Beauty - Aug 18, 20, & 21: You will receive the clear set "Seed Stems" with this class and you will make 4 very different cards using it. These cards have a "less is more" look that you will enjoy making.

Altered Canvas - Aug 25 & 29: This canvas has been on display for some time. So many people asked that it is now on the schedule. You will enjoy using many different supplies and embellishments to create this special piece of art.

As always your advance payment of class fees guarantees your spot in class. Always remember to bring your basic class kit. If you need a list of what should be included, call us.

JULY CLASS SCHEDULE

Ok, I've said it before and I'll say it again..... Lisa has outdone herself once again. I don't know how she does it, but she continues to create the most wonderful projects for you to make.

Remember to hold a place in class you must pay for your class. Refunds or credit for another class is available when you notify Lisa 48 hours in advance that you will not be able to attend. If a particular class you want to take is full, let us add you to a waiting list so we can call you if there are any cancellations. And if there are enough on the waiting list, she can sometimes add another class on another day or add it to the class schedule for the next month.

CHEERFUL GREETINGS - July 7 & 9th: Cards with bright colors, cheerful greetings - need I say more? There is a fancy fold card that one of our customers shared with us and you will have a great time learning this technique. (Store will be officially closed for painting, cleaning and reorganizing, but class will be held and you will be able to shop during the class).

ARTISTIC CREATIONS - July 14, 16, & 17: This card class is devoted to a new group of stamps by Lynne Perella. These are very artsy and you will be surprised at how easy they are to create.

DEMO DAY - Saturday, July 18: Yup.... always free, always come and go, always a FREE make-it-take-it. New class schedule for August will be available.

DRESS IT UP - July 21, 23 & 24: A charming class featuring cards with a clothing theme. These cards are perfect for a variety of "girlfriend" occasions.

SWEET VARIETY - July 28, 30 & 31: As the name implies, these are sweet cards that you will enjoy making.

COMING SOON: One of our customers has been making the most wonderful necklaces using the Tim Holtz Idea-ology metal pieces. She will be co-teaching this class with Lisa. Watch for details at the next Demo Day.

JUNE CLASSES

Get ready for more fun in the classroom. Lisa went to Houston for a Hero Arts workshop and came back with a number of wonderful ideas. Classes do fill quickly, but if you are unable to come by to sign up in person, give us a call and we'll get you signed up pronto!

Hero Creations - June 2, 4 & 5: A collection of cards made at the Houston workshop. They are fun and easy.

Sentiment Variety - June 9, 11 & 12: You will create a collection of cards that can be used for a variety of occasions including Get Well, Thinking of You, and Hello. You will use stamps from a variety of stamp companies.

Fun with Flower Soft - June 16, 18 & 19: As you know, we added a new product line last month called Flower Soft. This class will allow you to explore some of the fun ways you can use Flower Soft to create exquisite cards and projects.

DEMO Day - Saturday, June 20: It's always FREE! It's always FUN! There is always a FREE MAKE-IT-TAKE-IT! AND the new class schedule for July will be ready! Don't Miss It!

"You Inspire Me" Canvas - June 23: This canvas was featured on the Hero Arts Blog, but Lisa has made a few changes. You will love making this as a gift for a special friend who inspires you...

Grungeboard Plaques: June 30 & July 2: You will use both the original grungeboard and the new thinner grungepaper from Tim Holtz. These are simple to make and will make nice gifts or art for your studio/workspace.

MAY DEMO DAY

It's Saturday! Yipee! Yahoo! Lisa has another fabulous Demo Day ready for you! You won't want to miss it! It's always FREE and there is always a make-it-take-it. This month we have free samples for everyone from core'dinations. It is a line of 1/4 cut color cardstock that is double sided with a 3rd color sandwiched inside. It is perfectly sized for Cuttlebug users (it works in other specialty cutter/embossers too). It can be embossed, torn, sanded and will make amazing layers for cards and scrapbook projects alike! The class schedule will be available as usual. We will be ending this demo day promptly at 3 pm so that Lisa and her family can attend her daughter Lauren's graduation so please come early.

If you attended April's Demo Day you enjoyed using Flower Soft, a new product to the store. We sold out completely. It's all back in stock and we have added a few new colors. We also received some of their unmounted rubber stamps that are perfect for use with Flower Soft. Be sure to check it out when you come to Demo Day.

MAY CLASSES & TWINKLING H2O'S

May's class schedule is a combination of new and old. There are 2 new card classes, a new project class and the CD Folder Book and Tag Pocket Book are being repeated.

May Flowers - May 5, 7 & 8: You'll use new Penny Black stamps and a variety of watercolor techniques. Great cards for Mother's day.


Tag Pocket Book - May 12: Back by popular demand, this class was offered in both March and April.


CD Folder Photo Book - May 14: Also back by popular demand, this class was originally offered last year. It was offered in an updated form last month by request and was a hit.


DEMO DAY - May 16: Even though it falls a bit early, it is the third weekend of the month. Remember it is FREE, there is always a Make-It-Take-It. This month it will start at 10 am and end at 3 pm rather than 4. We are closing it early because Lisa's daughter's graduation ceremony is at 6pm and we don't want to miss it so if you like to come to demo in the afternoon, please arrive in time to complete your make-it-take-it by 3.


Heritage Triptych - May 19 & 22: This project will use your old family photos in a wonderful new way.


Girlfriend Cards - May 26, 28 & 29: As the name implies, these cards are perfect to send your girlfriends just to say hello. There is a pop-up card in this group that you will love and it's easy to make.


TWINKLING H2O UPDATE: Our 1st order arrived late this morning and your orders will be available for pick-up by Thursday morning. Orders will be held through Wednesday, April 22 and must be picked up by then in order to receive the preorder discount. Unclaimed orders will be available to the public on Thursday, April 23.

APRIL CLASS SCHEDULE

BIG APOLOGY: Schedule is late.... Sorry.... many things going on. With all sincerity, we promise to do better next month.

Check out this great class line-up. There are 3 fabulous projects (Tag Pocket Book is being repeated) and 3 wonderful card classes.

EASTER HANGING CONE: April 2 & 3rd. If you've ever wanted to make a hanging cone, this is the project for you. This is the most darling one I've ever seen and features a bunny from Character Constructions. Still room in both classes.

CD FOLDER PHOTO BOOK: Sunday, April 5th. This is a redesigned project that is being offered by popular request. It has been refreshed with new papers for spring. You'll love this one and it is fun to make. Lots of pockets and pages for your favorite photos.

FLY AWAY: April 7, 9 & 10. As the title implies, a collection of cards featuring birds will be created using various techniques including some of the newest pastel alcohol inks and Tim Holtz stamps.

TAG POCKET BOOK (Repeat): April 16 & 17. Last months project, this class had 2 full classes on the waiting list. If you were one of those, here it is again. Don't be shy ..... sign up and create that wonderful little pocket book.

EASTER/SPRING WITH MY FAVORITE THINGS - March 26, 27 & 29 (Sun): My Favorite Things is a relatively new stamp company that we've been offering for about a year. Their stamps have a certain joie de vive that we enjoy. New for them are papers and ribbons which you'll use in this class of cards they have created for Easter.

Remember, you must prepay to hold your place in class. Always bring your basic kit with you to class. If you need a list of basic supplies, give us a call and we'll be happy to run over the list with you.

HAVE YOU HEARD?

Many of you have heard rumored on various forums and blogs that Luminarte is going out of business and we found out late Friday night that it is indeed true. We are extremely sad to be saying good-bye to the makers of Twinkling H2O's and Shimmering Mists. These two products are beloved by many of our customers and we are very sad to be losing them. Although we do not have a large inventory, we received the 12 new colors of Shimmering Mists today. All H2O's and Mists in inventory will be offered at 20% off until gone.

SPECIAL ORDER FOR TWINKLING H2O'S & SHIMMERING MISTS
We are aware that many of you have begun collections of the H2O's and Shimmering Mists. Due to the impending closure of Luminarte, we are putting together a special order. If you are interested in special ordering any Luminarte products, please call or email NO LATER THAN Thursday at 10pm. You may leave a comment here on the blog. I'll check it Thursday night. If you are on our email list, you will receive an email later today with additonal instructions about the special order.

Special order information: You will receive 20% off retail and your order must be picked up within 2 days of notice that it has arrived. Orders not picked up will be placed in inventory and will be up for grabs.

Time is of the essence as these products will sell out quickly.

DEMO DAY
Just a quick reminder that Saturday is Demo Day. Remember it is come and go from 10am to 4pm. There is always a make-it-take-it and it is always FREE. Lisa's March class schedule will be available and you can sign up for classes while you are here.

We just got these really cool spring 12x12 papers with coordinating ribbon, brads, and mini clear stamp sets from Making Memories. You're gonna love using them in your Easter and Mother's Day cards and projects. Check 'em out quick......they are already flying off the shelves!

NEW! NEW! NEW!
I've been slackin in the reportin, but then, lately the new products have been flyin off the shelves faster than I can report. Here's a little reminder about the Tag Swap and a quick photo/description of what just arrived. And thank you for checkin in again!

Valentine Tag Swap - Still in progress. Your tags are due next Saturday, the 7th. Some are already here......really cool......Get with it! You'll be glad when you pick up yours on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14th. Very appropriate.


New Chalk Pad Colors - Really. We got Blackbird (it's black), Gray Whale (yes, gray), Popcorn (white - nice), Sour Apple (very interesting bluish green), Ocean (ooooh, so blue) and Toffee (pinkish taupe). Buy 'em - try 'em - you'll like 'em.

New Glues - New Favorites. Scrappy Glue - a favorite of one of our favorites, Miss Malone, this glue was once missing in action but now has been found. Try it, you'll like it. Alleenes Fast Grab Tacky Glue - Lisa's glue of choice. Always on the classroom trays. It's fast and tacky.

New Character Constructions - Oh Yeah Baby. Whole new collection called Bird & Bees Paperie. Very cool. Check it out!

New Ribbons - Yup.....really nice ones. New ones have chenile dots and are available in 5 colors. Several new colors of mini silk ribbon and now we have white and soft pink in the ivy leaf style. Brown with white dots is sheer.
