June 2021

Class Schedule

We had a fabulous Preview Day.  Everyone is so happy to be creating the FREE Make 'n Take live.  I know Lisa and I are so glad to have things very close to normal again.  I didn't get a good picture of the Make 'n Take... sorry.  It is on display in the store with the few dies and stencils that are left.

Before I forget to let you know, the store will be closed Friday through Monday for the Memorial Day weekend.  Also the store will be closed Saturday, June 12 for a private group retreat event.

And now for the schedule:

Blooming Stencils #2 - $30

Thursday, June 3 - 10:30 am OR 6 pm

The blooming stencils class we offered last month was incredibly popular and we've had requests for another.  Here it is!  This one also includes the use of matching stamps.  I think you'll really like this new addition to the mix.  Absolutely amazing!

Techique Card Class - $35

Happy Pockets - $30

Thursday, June 17 - 10:30 am OR 6 pm

These cute "pockets" are like little envelopes.  There is a sheer front and belly band closure.  They are filled with little notes that will bring smiles to the face of the recipient.   You'll want to make more of these to bring cheer or encouragement to all your friends!

May 2021

Class Schedule

Lisa and were so excited to do our first LIVE Make 'n Take since February of last year.  We reset the store so there was plenty of room for 2 people to do their makes and reset the other tables to display the new classes for May.  Adona did the honors of working Lisa's book.  It's so wonderful to be back to our normal plan!

We really had fun with this black and white scheme for the Make 'n Take.  Makers had the option to color the flower or leave it black and white.

Lisa's got a great schedule and since May has 5 weekends we will have an early Preview Day (end of the second week!).  Check out the classes and enroll today!

Birthday Brights - $35

Thursday, May 6 - 10:30 am OR 6 pm

These cards are bright and cheerful!  You'll use stamps from Stampendous and Catherine Pooler.  New dies and embossing folder will have you creating cards anyone would love to receive.

Art Journal Play - $30

Saturday, May 8 - 9 am OR 1:30 pm

This is always one of our most popular classes and Lisa has created a quick and easy page for you to do.  You'll be using Oxide Sprays, and Texture Paste to create this interesting page.  Can't wait to see what everyone does because no two pages ever look the same!

He Cards - $35

Tuesday, May 11 - 10:30 am OR 6 pm

Everyone needs cards for a man now and then.  It's been a while and the requests were coming in...  so He Cards is here!  You'll create several variations using 2 different stamps.  These cards can be used for any occasion.

Come see the new classes for June!  We are also now doing LIVE Make 'n Takes and so extremely happy to be back to normal.  Grab a friend and take advantage of this fun Come and Go event!

Master Page Cradle Board - $35

Thursday, May 20 - 10:30 am OR 6 pm

This "Master Page Cradle Board" is so fun because you will actually create your "master page" right on the cradled board.  We've found that cradled wood is perfect for mixed media "canvas" projects because they stay flat as you work on it.  You'll have access to Lisa's paints, stencils and more!

Master Page Flag Book - $25*

APRIL CLASS SCHEDULE

2021

Saturday was a fun Preview Day.  Lisa's April card classes are really wonderful and if you are a card maker, you'll enjoy those.  She has a tri-fold album and a master page class on the schedule too!  Our "Take 'n Make" kit to go was a hit.  I didn't even have time to post it on Instagram or Facebook before the beginning of the day.  But here it is.....

Those butterflies and saying are stamped in black Versafine Clair on white.  The butterflies also have diamond stickles and glossy accents applied to the wings and body and they are gorgeous. Stamps are by Catherine Pooler.  Sentiment is on a die cut label from the Tim Holtz Labels thinlit dies collection.

Spoiler Alert!  We are going to up the class enrollment!  We feel we can now safely seat 2 more students in classes so we are increasing class size from 6 to 8.  We also feel we are ready to safely resume our traditional Make 'n Take and this month you will Make instead of Take!

Without further ado.... here is the April class schedule.  I know that you'll find a great class just right for you.

All Occasion Cards - $30
Thursday, April 1
10:30 am OR 6 pm

Thursday, April 15
10:30 am OR 6 pm

Simple Stories has created another fabulous vintage collection and I know you'll want to make these cards.  The paper is absolutely perfect.  You'll also be using some new dies from Catherine Pooler and PinkFresh as well as a great new stamp set featuring wonderful faith based sentiments.

 March 2021 Class Schedule

We had a great time Saturday during Preview Day.  It was such a treat to see so many good friends, make some new ones, and visit with everyone.  The Take 'n Make Kit to Go was a big hit and we handed all of them out.  I am hoping now that so many have had their vaccines we'll be able to go back to our traditional Make 'n Takes very soon.  Anyhoo..... here is the really cute card that was supplied for us by Impression Obsession.  I still have a few stamps left and will be ordering more of the die for the boots if anyone asks.

It really was a hit.  And I am really really glad we figured out how to offer our FREE Make 'n Take during the pandemic.

Lisa has a great class schedule for this month.  I am including this week's class although by the time you read this it will be too late to enroll.  I did post it on Facebook last week as well as send out a special email about it so I hope you saw it there if you wanted to take this class.

Here's the schedule!

Hello Spring!
$30
Thursday, March 4
10:30 am OR 6 pm

Spring is in the air!  Yes.... after all this snow, you know it is right around the corner.  Echo Park has a new paper collection simply called "Spring" and Lisa came up with these adorable cards using some of her scraps and the 6x6 paper pad.  The actual card is tucked inside the pocket of an A2 sized piece of card stock.  These cards are so easy to make and you'll want to make lots of them when you realize how quickly they can be made.

Easter Greetings
$30
Thursday, March 11 - 10:30 am OR 6 pm
Friday, March 12 - 10:30 am

Easter snuck up on us this month...  and this class was so popular on Preview Day that we had to add a Friday morning class!  Stamps and papers were slow to arrive, but Lisa has created some wonderful cards using rubber stamps from Impression Obsession and a set of clear stamps from Echo Park.  Impression Obsession has created the best "layering" slimline stamps and Lisa knows just how to do it!  Two cards have creative cut outs and I know you'll love making these.

Blooming Stencils
$30
Thursday, March 18 - 10:30 am OR 6 pm
Friday, March 19 - 10:30 am

This card class was also so popular on Preview Day that we had to add a Friday morning class!  Don't miss out on this class.  This is a very new technique brought to us by PinkFresh.  I learned how to make the tall white card with the wreath and hello on it in a retailers trade show.  After teaching it to Lisa, she went to town using additional PinkFresh products.  This class uses STENCILS to create the multi-colored images.  That's right....stencils!  And there are matching dies for quite a few of them that are easy to line up.  You will definately want to learn how to make these cards.....

Preview Day
Saturday, March 20
10 am to 4 pm
Come & Go
FREE Take 'n Make Kit to Go

This is probably our most favorite day of the month.  Grab a friend and come join in the fun.  The class schedule for April will be on display and ready for enrollment. We will have new products for you to browse and we offer a FREE Take 'n Make Kit to Go.  You don't have to sign up, just come and stay as long as you like.  It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys!

Birthday Card Organizer
$38
Tuesday, March 23
10:30 am OR 6 pm

Here's something everyone can use!  It makes a great gift for a friend, mother, sister, or just about anyone.  You'll make a book with pockets for cards and a place to list birthdays by name and date (you could add anniversaries or other special occasions too).  With the size of the rings you'll be able to put lots of cards in the pockets and then you'll be ready for all your special card occasions.  Paper collection used is by Simple Stories.

Art Journal Play
$30
Saturday, March 27
9 am OR 1:30 pm

Lisa was on a roll when she created last month's Art Journal Play and had this one partially finished.  Here is a spread for one page or two.  You decide, but either way you can't lose.  And this one is so easy to make your very own.  Watercolor squares for the collage background and stencils for the focal image.  Add a few phrase stickers and voila'! you have a fun art piece that could be done again on canvas......

And we handed out this cute 'lil Valentine Take 'n Make Kit to Go to everyone who joined us.

You just gotta love a good Impression Obsession rubber stamp designed by Lindsay Ostrum!  I colored her with colored pencil.  If you got one....lucky you!

This new paper collection from Echo Park is aptly named Coffee & Friends.  The colors are perfect for an invitation for a birthday card or just a sweet note to a friend.  The 2 cards on the top are pop-ups and I personally think would make cute invitations for a coffee date or maybe a coffee tasting party.
