As December progresses, Lisa and I are truly thankful for your friendships and your patronage.

We had a wonderful Demo Day last Saturday.  Here is a picture of the really cute and inexpensive party favor we made.....

Seriously, it's so cute and so simple.  We used a toilet paper roll..... really, we did.  You paint the inside with acrylic paint (we used the Claudine Helmuth Studio paint we offer) and then you cover the outside with the paper of your choice.  Add ribbon and stamped embellishment and voila'.... cute party favor you fill with the small gift of your choice.....  If you came Saturday, you got a nail file (til we ran out) and a tiny bar of soap.  You can fill it with Hersheys kisses.....  whatever your sweet heart wants.  Darling!

Coming in 2013

As 2013 approaches we are planning so many new and wonderful things.  

Our friends, Donna Downey and Dina Wakley are returning to teach this spring - so excited by that.  

I'm looking into PayPal for odd transactions that you can't make in house.  

We are exploring more swap options.  I want to keep doing the 4 seasonal swaps we do and add in a "challenge" during the off times.  More about that later.

I'm thinking about a monthly newsletter.  Just found a wonderful email service that seems to be perfect for our needs.....  

If there is anything you would like to see us do, let me know.  This is really all about you.....  No matter what I want to do, it's fairly worthless if you aren't interested.  That's my 2013 resolution..... to be more sensitive to your needs.  So keep hammering me....  sometimes I'm a little dense, but I'll eventually get it.

Demo Day comes around every month (usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month).  This month it's our Annual Preview Party featuring Hero Art's new release for 2013.

oH eM gEE!  It's demo day again!  But not just ANY Demo Day.... no siree!  It's a Hero Arts Catalog Debut Party Demo Day!  now that's a mouthful!

road construction

A Funny Thing Happened.....

on the way to the shop the other day.....  As I approached 164th and pennsylvania I noticed a long line of traffic.  what the hey?  at 9:30 am?  this is not right!

guess what!  the road construction is beginning.  yes.... little things have been going on, but now it looks like we will really see some activity.

the street lights at 164th & penn have been removed in preparation for the intersection improvement.  it is now a 4 way stop sign intersection.

that means.....  yes, you guessed it..... looooong lines of cars approaching our shopping center.  

if you have an evening class, you might want to plan a few extra minutes of travel time.

it's not unbearable, just a bit inconvenient.  and the inconvenience will be long forgotten when the new intersection is finished.

i'll keep you posted as new bits of construction begin.  after all, we will all be happy when pennsylvania itself is 4 lanes and smooooooooth.  won't we?  i will.

Whoa!  Did I promise to get this schedule online by Wednesday?  What was I thinking?  The Thanksgiving Holiday got in the way, so I apologetically ask forgiveness.
I hope your Thanksgiving Day left you feeling thankful.  I know mine did.  My husband and I have only our moms with us now, so it was a blessing to be able to share this day with both of them together.

Now!  On to the business of the day.... the class schedule for December!  As this is a busy time for all, 2 of the classes will be offered only once.

Thanksgiving Holiday

 

Here's a Heads Up ....  We are gonna take a 2 day break for Thanksgiving.  And EEK!  It's next week!  So here is our Thanksgiving holiday schedule:

 

Tuesday, Nov 20th  -  10am to 6pm

Wednesday, Nov 21  -  Closed

Thanksgiving Day  -  Closed

Friday, Nov 23  -  10am to 6pm

Saturday, Nov 24th  -  10am to 5pm

 

Thinking about doing a little something special on Friday and Saturday, but the idea isn't quite formulated just yet.  Check back for details.

MHF House News

 

MHF House?  What's THAT?  Well, you may have noticed lately I've been calling My Heart's Fancy the House.  That's cuz I feel that you are a guest in my House when you come to visit.   Most days I think I make you feel at home.  When I don't I hope you will forgive me.  Anyway, there are things going on in the House so here's the news.....

 The photo kinda says it all, but it's exciting and we have them coming.  All 12 seasonal distress inks now in Stains!  Should be here by demo day (oh yes..... this Saturday!).

DEMO DAY

That's right..... It's Saturday from 10am to 4pm.  Come and Go.... Always a FREE Make-it-Take-it.....  Class schedule for December will be ready.  Lisa has a bunch of great classes in mind and I think you will find them quite timely.
