Samantha is one of my favorite local artists.  She often brings her two delightful boys, Liam and Murray in for a visit when she shops for art supplies.  She is a self professed Ranger art junkie and Dina Wakley groupie.  She is known as Scarlton in the art world and can be found on Instagram as scarlyton  (@scarlyton) and I encourage you to follow her.  She posts some awesome stuff. She creates what she calls "intuitive abstract art" because it allows her to step aside from critical thinking and paint from a place of mindfulness,  During the day she is a licensed therapist and enjoys teaching, creating, and reading.  Her art can also be seen on the Ranger Ink Blog.  Her work can be purchased directly through her social media channels.

Samantha's class description:

Keeping an art journal can be a great way to express emotions, thoughts, activism and creativity.  Art journaling is perfect for novice and experienced artists because it's flexible, fun and difficult to mess up!  Join me for a creative class where I'll walk you through your own art journal spread.  You'll learn about my process and favorite techniques to help get your creativity flowing.  I'm a Ranger Ink junkie and have provided a list of their materials I used but you're welcome to bring what you have or use the items provided by My Heart's Fancy.  The shop will have many of the supplies available for sampling and purchasing.  You're going to love them!

• Dina Wakley Media Acrylic paint (cheddar, fuschia, ocean, eggplant, peacock, copper penny, blush)
• Dina Wakley Media Gesso (white)
• Dina Wakley Media Washi tape (prints - your choice)

• Dina Wakley Media stamps (Clear scribble & red rubber Silhouetted Women)
