I am so excited to announce that Kristin Powers (aka Kae Pea) from RubberMoon Art Stamps will be offering 3 fun workshops.  I know you are going to love Kae Pea and these wonderful classes.

We were introduced to RubberMoon Art Stamps by Nathalie Kalbach (who is teaching her amazing Splash of Color Workshop in April - details HERE).  The quality of these stamps is outstanding and we are so glad we have begun to carry this line in the store.  

A little bit about Kae Pea.....  she is a self taught artist who went on to earn a BFA in Studio Art from Maryville University in St. Louis.  In 2012 she took over RubberMoon Art Stamps.  You can read more about Kae Pea HERE.  You'll see she knows her stuff!

On to the workshop classes!

"Strip Club"

Friday, May 4

9 am to 1 pm

$85

In this fun class Kae Pea will show you how to take strips of recycled papers, discarded art projects, magazines, and other fun things from your artsy stash and use them to create something new and fabulous.... a miniture tabletop plant stand, backgrounds on panels and cavasses, greeting cards and more!  The possibilities are truly endless.  You will create at least 2 projects by the end of this class and have more strips to take home to use later.  Kae Pea provides all the supplies you will need to create a small plant stand and journal page.  Supplies include a variety of RubberMoon stamps, paint, canvas, glue, and more.

Supplies you need to bring:

• Personal paper trimmer
• Variety of papers... old scrapbook papers, magazine pages, backgrounds you haven't used, etc. 

Painting by Moonlight

Friday, May 4

3 pm to 7 pm

$85

Use a variety of RubberMoon stamps and Moonlight Duo Tint & Hue ink pads to create wonderfully luminous layered works of art on Clayboard.  Kae Pea will show you how she creates texture and movement with just a few supplies.  You will leave with 3 completed pieces!  Kae Pea supplies everything!

Whimsey Watercolor Workshop

Saturday, May 5

9 am to 4:30 pm 

(includes 1 hr break for lunch)

Kae Pea will teach a variety of watercolor techniques including wax resist, pattern stamping and color blocking to make fabulous backgrounds.  She will address using different substrates and papers, including absorbent grounds and aquabord.  By the end of the workshop you will have several beautiful cards to take home and pieces to frame!  All materials provided except for watercolor paints and brushes.

Supplies you need to bring:

• Watercolor paints - Pan (cake) watercolor (Prima, Koi, Peerless) or Tube watercolors (Holbein, Windsor-Newton, Koi)
• Watercolor brushes - Round #6, #8 or #10
