Guest Artist Joanne Sharpe

Joanne Sharpe

March 4 & 5th

Our good friend Joanne Sharpe is returning to teach 4 wonderful workshops.  Joanne loves her "Okie" peeps and she is always so excited to come teach us something new.

This year she has created a couple of classes just for us! Check out what she's teaching this time around.....

Saturday, March 4
10 am to 1:30 pm

Joanne keeps telling you to use your own "handwriting" to make stylized lettering.  In this supercharged class you will learn FIVE new design and drawing techniques to easily transform your own cursive and printing into a signature font that is unique to you.  Use lettering grids, pens and watercolors to try your hand at new looks.  Letter your favorite works, sayings or scripture verse with illustrated simple imagery on 8 small watercolor cards as art ready to display.

SUPPLIES you need to bring:  pencil, eraser, black waterproof fine line pens (Microns, Pitt, Uniball), your favorite colorful markers (any brand you have - Tombow, Copic), small watercolor pan set (Koi, Prang, Prima Confections), waterbrush.  PAPER: Bring 8 pieces of 4-1/2" x 6" watercolor paper cut from a 9" x 12" Strathmore 300 series (yellow cover) Watercolor pad (it will take 2 sheets).
