Gelli Arts Print Making

Ever heard of gelatin plate printing?  Neither had I until I saw the Gelli Arts Gel Print Plate and some of what you can create with it.  Our Good Friend, Kelley Walker returns with another "gotta take it" class.  She will walk you through the process of printing with the Gel Print Plate.  When you have finished, you will assemble the sweet shoji-style accordian book pictured above AND you will go home with your very own Gel Print Plate!

Oh yes!  All is Bright!  This card class is made using the My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad called All Is Bright (duh!)....  AND some of the coordinating brads.  You will get the whole package of brads with this class.  Love this color palette!

Lisa has a thing for old doors (well, so do I).  Her daughter took a trip to Guatamala and shot some very interesting doors.  A recent Somerset publication included an article featuring pendants with old doors sandwiched between mica tiles.  Put this all together and voila'..... class!  These are very cool.  You know you want to make them for yourself and all your friends!

Yes, wise men do still seek Him!  I created this canvas last year and so many have asked us to teach it.  Lisa took it home and updated it with current papers.  I like it better than mine and you will enjoy making it.

Demo Day

Demo Day Again?

 

Is it already that time?   Am I really so old that all my days now morph into one giant nano-second?

Well, be that as it may (oh yes, that's showing my age now, isn't it!)..... 

 

Saturday is Demo Day. 

 

We are gonna have some fun and do we ever have some great new stuff.

 

While I haven't seen what Lisa has for next month's classes, I know she's had creative juices flowing all over the place.  I haven't seen much of her cuz she can't stop playing in her studio!  Get ready for a great November line-up.

We had a really great Demo Day on Saturday.  Lots of new goodies.  Great Make-It-Take-It....

 

 

Love making tags.  Best way to learn something new.  We used two wonderful stamps from Stampendous, Dylusions spray in London Blue and Vibrant Turquoise AND THE NEW Tim Holtz Metallic Distress Stains (Tarnished Brass, to be exact).  Ah-mazing!  The Distress Stains come in Silver, Gold and Brass.  We sold out, but expect more today.  You will LOVE them!

So as not to bore you outta your gourd...  this is good stuff and you really will enjoy using all of it!

 

MEMORY  BOX

 

Dave is a release-a-holic...  We got a few of the most recent 100 new dies and the Cardstock of the Month, & Project of the Month yesterday.....  You die cutters are just gonna love these.

 

 

Stunning collection of goodies.  Oh, and I forgot..... we got some really nice stamps too.....

 

HALLOWEEN  SWAPS

 

They are due today and may I say.... AhMaZinG! so far...  The day is not over people..... bring it on.  If you can't quite get them finished by 5 today, give me a call.  I have already been photo'ing so I'm ahead of schedule.  I can take more on Tuesday if a couple more days will help.  They will be ready for pick up next Saturday on DEMO DAY!

Yeah....  it's next Saturday.  Seems kinda early, but it is the third Saturday of September.  It's from 10am to 4pm and we will have a great Make-It-Take-It for you.

What's Happening.....

What's the Buzz?

 

Did I get your attention?  Hope so.....  We've got a lot going on this month and I hope you will be joining us for as much of it as you can.....

 

Just a reminder about the Jen Starr classes on September 25th.  You will seriously enjoy Jen.  She has been trained by the great Sir Tim Holtz.  You won't need a thing for these classes (well, maybe one or two things).  She packs everything and these classes are gonna be swell!  Class information can be found on the Jen Starr Classes post.

 

 

Kelley Walker is teaching her first class in the House and I for one am really excited.  Her class, "Sweet and Easy Stamp Making", is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 22nd. If you have ever wanted to learn how to carve your own stamps, this is the class for you.  You will make 2 stamps and a project.   There are only a few openings left, so call to reserve your spot now. 

EEK!  ALTERED BOOK

This class is next week and filled up so fast Lisa added another class to the schedule.....  Interested?  It's scheduled for next Tuesday (the 11th) at 6pm.  Call the store now if you want to take this one.  It is already half full!

This is Labor Day weekend - Duh!  Well, I need an extra day off so here's the deal.....  I'm gonna have a special sale from 6pm to 10pm.  The store will be closed from 2pm to 6pm to get ready.  At 6 you can storm the door and grab your bargains.

 

Items previously marked down will be an additional 50% off.  There will be a scad of newly marked down items.  You can have 20% off all regularly marked items.
