I am so excited to bring you the October class schedule.  Our September Preview Day was so busy that by the end of clean-up day, I had misplaced our sample of the Make 'n Take.  Take my word for it, it was cute.  

 

I can't wait for October to get here.  The store will be closed the first full week of the month.  Jeff and I are taking a 10 day camping trip to go to Zion National Park for a bit of hiking.  But not to worry, Lisa still has 4 amazing classes for you and an Art Journal Saturday too.  Here is the schedule.  I think you will find one or more that are perfect for you!

Masculine Master Page Cards - $35

Did you take the Masculine Master Page class?  Here's your chance to turn your art into these fun cards!  You will need a card stock copy of your master page if you don't want to cut it up or Lisa will share one of hers for a small extra charge.  Please let her know if you want one. If you are going to use your own, she'll need your copy by Tuesday, the 25th so she can use it for your class kits.

Such great stamps for cards!  Many of Catherine Pooler's stamp images can be used for adults OR children! Lisa has used the theme here in a way that will please any age!  There are a lot of fun techniques and unexpected products used in this class.  

 

Christmas/Winter Cards - $35

Altenew's Christmas/Winter selection is stunning this year!  You'll create a card with a wreath made entirely from leafy die cuts and another card from a die cut Christmas tree with matching background.  The woodland scene is an embossing folder and the poinsettia is a one pass die cut with a matching embossing folder to create the 3D look.  Add a beautiful embossed die cut frame to the card and now you've got 4 amazing cards!

 

Dark Side Book - REPEAT - $65

This is the repeat date for those who were unable to get into the last class. This class is limited to 10 artists.  It will sell out fast so be sure to enroll as quickly as possible.  Everyone was extremely happy with their finished books.  It took an unexpected additional hour longer in the first class so we have adjusted the time in this class.  There will be a one hour lunch from 1 to 2 pm.

Who doesn't like a little Halloween banner?  How about a hanging pocket to decoration to go with it?  This really delightfully simple project is made using Simple Stories "Frightful Fun" paper pack.  I think you'll agree it would make a fabulous gift as well as a treat for yourself!  You'll get a sheet of stickers with the kit as well!

It was a quiet Preview Day, but we really enjoyed it.  The Make 'n Take was truly one of the quickest ones we've done in quite a while.  There was very little waiting, so apparently we have the formula now. Now, the bad and good news is that we had not gotten our stamps and dies, but they are on the way.  Check out what we did!

July classes are here!  We had a great Preview Day on Saturday, a hit Make 'n Take and there was so much new product to see that it was almost overwhelming!  Lisa, Cherri and I all enjoyed seeing everyone having so much fun.  I didn't get a pic of the Make 'n Take.  But the sample is still on display in the store!

Preview Day is always a highlight every month.  This month we created this Free Make 'n Take card with stamps and dies by Simon Hurley. The border die and ink pads we used were from Catherine Pooler.

 

This was a simple, but lovely spring/summer card that could be used for so many occasions!  We sold out of the stamp/die bundle, but are ordering more. 

 

Lisa's schedule for June is short.  She's going to be gone the first Thursday on a trip with her grandsons.  If you weren't able to attend Preview Day, come by to see these great classes in person!

Lisa and I would like to thank everyone who joined us Saturday for Preview Day.  We had so many people waiting at the door when we opened that we instantly had a sign in of 20 people for the Make 'n Take before the first two people could even start their tag!  We apologize for the wait time for those who were further down on the list. The Make was quick, easy and loved by all. I tried to photograph it, but sadly, I apparently did not have the skills needed.

 

Lisa has a really wonderful class schedule for May.  If you couldn't come Saturday, I hope you'll get by to sign up in person (or online if that's easier!).  If you can only take one, I think it'll be a hard choice!  Now, here's the schedule for May.

Lisa was gifted a fun Joyful Stick by our friend Alice.  It was a multi-stick project created at Paper Crown in Waco, Texas as a window display by Angie Meyer and Cindy Winter (the owner).  Lisa thought you, too, might want to create one! This project is perfect for any of your gel prints and a variety of additional papers.  Come learn how easy it is to make one.     I'm going to make a long story short.  This is Labor Day weekend and the store is normally closed. I had an idea......  yeah, an idea. Now it's a real thing.  **You will need a working knowledge of how to art journal.**

    

This will be a NO SAMPLE/PROMPT DRIVEN "class".

Seating will be limited to 8 per 3-1/2 hour session. 

Each table will be shared by 2 people.  

You will have access to ALL the Art Journal supplies.  

 

Yeah, I think it's a kinda big deal! I may or may not have a helper, and I plan to participate if possible. I'm excited and overwhelmed at the same time.  If we have more than 16 people interested, I will consider adding an additional class on Friday afternoon or evening (May 22).
