Classes April 2019

April 2019
Class Schedule

We have a lot of fun classes this month.  If you didn't make it to Demo Day Saturday, you need to come by.  I know you are going to love at least one class and probably more!  And we made this really cute Easter card for Make 'n Take.  We didn't have the supplies we used for sale as the items we were originally going to use didn't arrive.  We grabbed two stamps we had and voila' - quick and easy Easter card! We took orders for the stamps and supplies used on Demo Day and are ordering a few extra, so if you want to make this card too you can get the supplies as well.

Both stamps used are by Impression Obsession.  The "Amazing Grace" stamp was stamped with Shadow Gray Archival Ink by Ranger and the Lamb was stamped with Black Versafine and embossed in clear.  We used Stabilo Woody watersoluable crayon/pencils to watercolor both the shadows and the tiny flowers, leaves and inside of the ears.

And now..... drumroll..... the April schedule!

More New Products

More New Products
from
Various Companies

As I mentioned in the Ranger/Tim Holtz blog post, we received a lovely group of new products in February.  Here's a brief overview of the rest (but not least).

From RubberMoon Rubber Stamps - Cute new collection by Kae Pea called "Wires & Beads".  Kae Pea is really creative and this collection was on her heart for a long time until she finally had to get them out.  The bead stamps are available in a 4 piece set. The wires are available as a set of their own and everything is available in a large set.  They are all here and available!  Kae Pea's Facebook Live video can be seen here...  "FB Live Wires & Beads"  It's a "New Year" video but is the official reveal of the stamps.

From Ranger - New Sari Ribbon packs in neutral and bright.  5 yards in each pack!  Absolutely beautiful.....

Stamper's Anonymous - New Tim Holtz stamps and stencils. Perfect for mixed media nuts. 'Nuf said - you know you need 'em!

Caran D'Ache - NeoColor II water soluable wax pastel crayons in 15, 30 & 40 piece sets.  We introduced them in Art Journal Saturday and if you'd like to try them, come by for a demo.

Stabilo - Maker of the infamous "All" Pencil comes the "Woody" pencil (not pictured above). It's a creamy water soluable crayon in a wood pencil.  Also introduced in Art Journal Saturday.  Haven't seen them?  Drop by for a try it before you buy it demo.  Very popular with Art Journal Saturday students.

Drop by to see any or all of these new products.  There are more new items coming from Dina Wakley and Wendy Vecchi.  I'll let you know more when they arrive.  See you soon and remember to .....

New Goodies

New Products from Ranger
for TIM HOLTZ

It's always exciting when new goodies arrive.  February brought us new products from Tim Holtz.  Distress Oxide Sprays, Archival Ink Pads & Ranger's Pearl Alcohol Inks.

Distress OXIDE Sprays are very cool.....  Lot's of examples are all over Instagram these days.  I haven't personally had time to play with them and neither has Lisa, but I'm pretty sure she'll get some play time and there will be a class.

Archival Ink Pads - Yay!  This is my biggest dream come true about Distress products.  I love the colors, but I'm not fond of the "always comes back to life" of the products.  I love Archival Ink Pads so this is a "happy dance" for me.  12 colors in the first release in 3 sets.

Ranger's Pearl Alcohol Inks - Such a great new product.  Alcohol inks are making a comeback and these just increase their fun.  The Pearls are different and Lisa has been playing with them.  She's impressed and I am pretty certain there will be a class using these coming soon.

For a wonderful explanation of all 3 of these you can hear Tim himself explain the different properties of each here...... Creativation Live - Tim Holtz (it's a lengthy but informative YouTube video).

Stay tuned for an additonal blog post about other new products we received in February.

Hope to see you soon and remember to ....
