August Class Schedule

Ready or not August is on it's way and Lisa's class schedule for August was revealed Saturday on Demo Day.  She also created a fabulous Make 'n Take that was a tease of her August 9th Gelli Print Fun Cards Class.  Don't you think this is a fun card?  

We used a 2 inch gel press gel plate, Dina Wakley paint, various stencils and a wonderful Penny Black stamp set.... How much fun it will be to take Lisa's Gelli Print Fun Cards class to learn even more ways to use a gel print plate to make even more cards!

Class Details - The Fine Print!

Class Fees:  Class and workshop fees are due at the time of enrollment.  Lisa accepts cash, checks and Paypal.  Guest Artist fees can be paid by cash, check, credit card or Paypal to My Heart's Fancy.

Basic Supply Kit:  All students are required to bring a kit of basic paper crafting tools for Lisa's classes.  Guest Artist students will be required to bring a basic kit of paper crafting and/or art supplies.  Additional supplies are sometimes required and those supplies are generally listed with the workshop descriptions.

As always, if you ever have a question about classes or workshops, don't hesitate to call or come by.  We have a printed list of basic supply kit items available here at the store if you are uncertain of what you should include.

Whimsical Creatures

Let go and let your characters come to life in a miniture form!  

Working in 3 small format wood substrates, we will create a fun cast of characters to include birds, fish, or owls.  

Students will be guided from start to finish on how to design, paint and embellish their creatures using acrylic paints, lots of contemporary layering effects, and an assortment of mixed media tools.  Students will also receive tips on drawing, color choices, creating patterns and variety in their work as well, working collections.

This class is one of Jodi's most popular courses, come join the fun!

Great for all skill levels, ages 16 and up!

Supplies student will need to bring for this class:  Assorted acrylic paint brushes, paint palette, water cup and apron.

If you have heard about Jodi Ohl's Zen Houses, now we are offering a special 1 day version of the workshop titled, "Happy Shacks"!

Whimsical, colorful, fun, and full of personality, students will be guided through an action-packed day of learning how to work with specialty paints on a unique surface to create these happy little abodes!  No drawing experience?  No worries!  We will go over a variety of basic techniques to get you up and running in no time.  Each student will create their own collection of Happy Shacks with author, instructor and full-time artist, Jodi Ohl!

Supplies students need to bring for this class:  a few assorted sizes of water brush pens and a size 4 round watercolor brush, water basin and apron.

ENROLLMENT IS NOW OPEN!  You may enroll by email, phone or in person.  Class fees must be paid at the time of enrollment.  You may pay by cash, check or credit card in store and Paypal invoices will be sent for those who cannot come in person.  Class sizes are limited.  Payment of fees guarantees your enrollment. 

Cancellation Policy:  Refunds are available for those who cancel by August 28th.  No refunds after that date.  If you are unable to attend your workshop, you may gift or sell your seat in class to a friend.  If we have a wait list and are able to fill your seat, you will receive a refund.

Samantha is one of my favorite local artists.  She often brings her two delightful boys, Liam and Murray in for a visit when she shops for art supplies.  She is a self professed Ranger art junkie and Dina Wakley groupie.  She is known as Scarlton in the art world and can be found on Instagram as scarlyton  (@scarlyton) and I encourage you to follow her.  She posts some awesome stuff. She creates what she calls "intuitive abstract art" because it allows her to step aside from critical thinking and paint from a place of mindfulness,  During the day she is a licensed therapist and enjoys teaching, creating, and reading.  Her art can also be seen on the Ranger Ink Blog.  Her work can be purchased directly through her social media channels.

May 2018 Class Schedule

Are you ready to rock and roll in May?  Lisa's class schedule was presented Saturday on Demo Day.  It is a lovely collection of cards and projects.  We created this sweet birthday card with stamps from Impression Obsession....

We used Clean Color brush markers to color the stamped images and then topped the balloons and packages with clear Wink of Stella.  We sold out of stamps and card packages, but it you want any of them, we'll be happy to order them for you.

Not only do we have a great line up from Lisa this month, Kae Pea from RubberMoon Stamps will be here on the 4th and 5th to teach 3 really great classes.  We have openings so don't be shy about calling to enroll.  I am also happy to announce that I now have all the information for you about Dina Wakley's workshops which is in the previous blog post.  I'll post the link at the end of this schedule. I think you'll agree this month is going to be fabulous!
