April 2022 Calendar

APRIL 2022

CLASS SCHEDULE

What a fun Preview Day!  We had a lot of visitors and everyone enjoyed creating the FREE Make 'n Take pictured here.....

We did a riff on a card featured in Catherine Pooler's samples for the Hops & Peeps collection by making a flat card into a tri-fold version.  I think it turned out quite nicely.  The patterned paper is from the Simple Stories Full Bloom collection.  The bunny stamp & coordinating dies are from the Catherine Pooler Hops & Peeps stamp & dies and the egg die is also from a set of 4 dies by Catherine Pooler called Egg Hunt Dies.  We sold out of the dies, but have a few more coming in next week.

Lisa brought out an extensive class schedule for April that runs into the first week of May.  There are 4 wonderful card classes and a tri-fold journal/album.  Take a look and see what you think!

 Easter Fun Cards - $30
Thursday, April 7
10:30 am OR 6 pm

I do love this set of cards.  Everything about these cards is eggs-citing!  The Hops & Peeps stamps & dies and the Egg Hunt dies from Catherine Pooler have been used.  Hero's 2 newest layering stamp sets were used for the big bunny card and the chick card. The paper is from the Echo Parks 6x6 Easter Collection.

Indigo Garden Cards - $30
Thursday, April 14
10:30 am OR 6 pm

The Indigo Garden collection from Simple Stories is so beautiful.  Lisa has created 4 really elegant cards from this paper that will knock the socks off of the receiver of any one of these cards.  Three of the cards have unique folds that make each card so special.

EASTER HOLIDAY
The store will be closed Saturday, April 16.
Lisa and I hope that you will spend this weekend celebrating the true meaning of Resurrection Sunday with friends and family. May we all know the love of God the Father, the saving work of Jesus Christ our Lord and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Shimmer in Blooming Color - $30
Thursday, April 21
10:30 am OR 6 pm

We recently had the pleasure of playing with Crafter's Workshop's new Stencil Butters in Art Journal Saturday.  They are shimmery pots of acrylic whipped paint.  Lisa got to playing around with them even more and discovered how easy they are to use in painting stamped images.  We really love when we find more ways to use products.  The stamps and dies come from Hero Arts, Altenew and Catherine Pooler.  These cards are framable works of art!

  Tri-Fold Bee-utiful Journal
$30 + Graphic 45 Journal (purchase from MHF)
Thursday, April 28th
10:30 am OR 6 pm

Graphic 45 has come out with the bee-utiful "Let it Bee" paper collection.  When we saw this collection we knew it would be perfect for the new black Waterfall Journal by Graphic 45.  This journal will be perfect for photos and journaling.  It would be a wonderful gift to yourself or someone special.  Elegant and bee-utiful!

Art Journal Saturday - $20
Saturday, April 30
9 am OR 2 pm

PHOTO TO COME

It feels so good to be gathering for Art Journal Saturdays again.  Of course, both Lisa and I have been out of the habit of creating for this class and we have had a hard time getting our samples ready on time. In any case, don't worry, Lisa will have her sample ready soon and I'll post it as soon as possible.  I'll email it and post a sample on Facebook as soon as it is ready!

Stencil Fun Cards - $30
Thursday, May 5
10:30 am OR 6 pm

These cards are quick and easy.  Stencils can make the best quick backgrounds and they are really fun to use to make coordinating envelopes for the cards they carry.  Lisa is using stencils from Crafter's Workshop and Hero Arts.  There is Tim Holtz glaze used on one of those cards too so if you haven't had the pleasure of playing with them, here's your chance to try before you buy!
