Howdy everyone!  We had such a wonderful Demo Day on Saturday and were so glad to make new friends and visit with regulars.  Here is the sweet card we had for our Make 'n Take.

Using a slider die from Lawn Fawn, snowflake background stamp and penguin stamp from Hero Arts.  Snowflake ink color was Rangers new Archival "Paradise Teal".   This card is a winner for sure!

The store will be closed both Wednesday and Thursday for Thanksgiving.  We will be back for your shopping pleasure on Friday and Saturday.  

Winter Wonderland Canvas

This canvas is so clever!  Lisa has used the back side (you know she is famous for this) and has used the wavy edge dies from My Favorite Things to create the snow hill layers.  Cute for Christmas, but good for all winter!

Enrollment:  You can come by, call or email Lisa or me to enroll.  Class fees are due at the time of enrollment.  Class fees can be paid by check or cash in the store.  Lisa can send you a Paypal invoice or you can mail a check if you are unable to pay in person.

Class Kit:  All students are expected to bring a basic kit to class.  This kit should include basic paper crafting tools, adhesives, non-stick craft sheet and heat tool.  If you have any questions about what you need, please call the store and we will help you determine what you need.

You'll enjoy taking classes from Lisa.  Lisa is such a joy to learn from.  We hope you'll join us for one or more of the outstanding classes!

Jen returns after a 2 year hiatus to teach a full day of wonderful classes here at My Hearts Fancy.  Jen Starr is a fun mixed media artist who brings a wonderful knowledge of products and techniques to life.  She travels all over the country teaching and is lots a super fun teacher.

So many people asked for a repeat on this class and here it is.  It's fun and much easier than it looks.  There are 3 covers and 2 additional pages inside.  Pockets and inserts make this a keepsake for sure!

August Classes 2016

Classes in August

We always have a lot of fun on Demo Day.  This last Saturday was no exception.  It was one of our more relaxed days and the Make 'n Take was really cute.  Here's what we made.....

Everyone enjoyed making it and we sold out of all the stamps and dies.  I hope you will make it for next month's Demo Day if you missed this one.  We always have a great FREE Make 'n Take for you as well as the new class schedule.

Lisa and I learned a very fun technique at a workshop a few weeks ago using Gelatos on canvas.  Here's Lisa's take on the technique.  It is an 8-1/2 by 11 canvas cover.  When you have finished, you can insert a mixed media art journal inside or even a spiral notebook!  Who knows what else you'll create once you know how!

Wow!  What can I say!  Lisa has been working on this one for a while.  Twelve pockets are assembled accordian fashion and the journaling cards in each one can hold special memories or photos.  

Mini Book Play

Do you like miniatures?  This is the class for you!  I should have put a quarter in the photo so you could see for yourself how small these mini books are!  This is a fun class and you will enjoy learning how to make them.

Additional Class details

Enrollment:  You can enroll in any class in person at the store or by phone or email.

Class Fees:  Class fees are due at the time of enrollment.  Payment can be made in the store by cash or check.  When Lisa is present in the store (most Tuesday mornings) you can use your credit card.  If you call or email to enroll, you can mail a check made out to Lisa or she can send you a Paypal invoice.

Basic Kit:  Everyone is expected to bring a Basic Supply Kit to class.  If you are new and do not know what to bring, we will be happy to help you make sure you have what you need.  Supplies include basic paper crafting tools and supplies that are considered necessary whenever you are paper crafting.  Lisa normally supplies all other items although there are some exceptions to that on occasion.

I hope you will join us for one or all of these exciting classes.  We have a great deal of fun and you can make new friends!

July Classes 2016

New Class Schedule

Lisa's class schedule for July is wonderful!  She is so good at keeping it hidden (even from me) before Demo Day that it always takes my breath away when she puts it out.  That's part of the fun for me as we get ready for you early in the morning.  

I forgot to take a picture of the Make 'n Take.  It was cute and one of the quickest ones we have ever done.  Everyone was happy with it.

Poppy Field Canvas

Photo does not do justice to this incredible canvas.  Lots of layers and techniques for you mixed media junkies.  Stencil for the poppies will be provided in this class so you'll be able to create even more projects using the techniques you learn in this class.
