One of the newest products from Tim Holtz and Ranger is the Distress Stain line.  We got it in the day before Demo Day and didn't really have time to play with it.  Lisa has had a chance to use it and if you are taking the Artsy Tag class you'll get a chance to try it out.  But why wait til then.....  take a look at this video of Tim at CHA showing how to use them.

How about that!  I know I'm jazzed and hope to be using them really soon.....  We have all the colors so come by and pick up a few (hey, you know you want them all!)

Demo Day Fun

BOTTLE  CAPS  ARE  BACK!

Bottle caps are all the rage and we are so pleased to have them back after so long.  Bottle caps are versatile and fun.... Think bookmarks, canvases, jewelry, magnets, name tags, embellishments.....  They come in 4 sizes.  If you made it by for our Demo Day last week, you were able to make one that could be a magnet or lapel pin. Check out these really cute ideas.....

Demo Day Cuties

Three of 4 sizes..... Super Jumbo, Jumbo & Standard.  Not shown are Mini (1/2") and Flattened Standard.

Really cute stickers you can use inside the Standard size caps. You get 60 stickers in a package... AND we have punches for every size cap so you can punch paper to fit any of them.  Your only limitations are your very own imagination.  Once you get started making them, you will have a blast!  Drop by for inspiration and pick up a few of all the sizes.  Super Jumbo, Jumbo and standard are available by the piece.  Mini & flattened come packaged in 12's......

When Demo Day rolls around every month, I am so amazed at the truly creative card and project classes Lisa offers.  We arrive early and she starts to display them.  It is so much fun for me and I can hardly wait.  So here is the schedule.....  look it over and then come on down and sign up for your favorites.

Salt Box Shrine - Sunday May 1st

A very cool project, this class is being repeated by popular demand.  You'll use a round salt box to create this lovely project.  It is truly unique and one of a kind.

Fragmented Frame - Sunday May 1st

March's Make-it-Take-it inspired this project.  This 5x7 frame is fairly simple to make and a good way to learn how to attach paper to Tim Holtz's fragments (and fragment charms). 

Butterfly Box - May 3

This project was originally taught last year, but some of our newer friends have requested that we put it on the schedule again.  It is an elegant piece of art that will look great on the wall or sitting on the mantel.....

Nature's Chair - May 5 & 6

This is an updated version of a chair from several years ago.  You will paint, paper & stamp a plain chair, turning it into a work of art!  Limited to 20 due to limited availability of the chairs.... Don't miss out on this one! 

Man Cards - May 10 & 13

It's hard to find a good card for a man but Lisa has come up with 4 really great ones.... You will use a variety of Tim Holtz products for these including the Jalopy Die and the new glasseine paper.

Keepsake Canvas - May 17 & 20

This is a really cool canvas.  You know Lisa likes to use the back side of her canvases and this is no exception.  Soft and elegant, you will use your own photos to create a wonderful memory project.

Demo Day.....  Saturday May 21st from 10 - 4

Come and go all day.  It's free, there is always a make-it-take-it, and the class schedule for June will be available.

Artsy Tags - May 24, 26 & 27th

Tags X 4!  Lisa's tags are so artsy and fun.  Lisa will show you a new way to apply color using the new Distress Stains by Tim Holtz.  You'll make tags using the new Tim Holtz dies and there is also a really wonderful mermaid tag made from one of the Character Constructions new stamp sets.

Our Altered Easter Egg Swap was such a big success.  We are truly blessed to have such a circle of talented artists participating in our swaps.  We had 19 fabulous participants and you can see photos of all of them on our Facebook page here.  You don't have to be a Facebook user to see them.  Just click on the word "here" and it'll get you there.

Chalkboard Update

I think I may have misled you a bit about the Chalkboard being discontinued.  What I meant was that the two colors mentioned (Mint Chocolate Chip & Cotton Candy) are discontinued.  Chalkboard sprays are NOT being discontinued..... just a few colors.  We sold out on Saturday, but think we will be able to get a few more before they are totally gone.  Check with us later on next week if you want either of them. 

Class Schedule

I'm working on the photos, but expect to have the schedule complete with photos here on the blog by Tuesday as usual.  I am always blown away by Lisa's creativity and the beauty of what she has to share with all of us.  All the classes are on display at the store.  Come by for a look and to sign up for your favorites.  You must prepay for your class to guarantee your spot will be held and classes are limited to 12 students.

Just Arrived

More New Stuff

We usually get shipments in on Wednesday.  Sometimes it's just items we are restocking and sometimes it's new lines or new releases from our wonderful lines of products.  Now that we have settled into our new location, we're getting the hang of when shipments are delivered and when the mail arrives.  I must admit, we were spoiled in our last location.  UPS always came in before 10:30, Fed Ex in the later afternoon and the mail was delivered to our door.  Here UPS makes it around 5-5:30.  Fed Ex usually arrives between 11 & 3 while the mail comes in sometime around noon, but we have to run across the shopping center to the boxes in front of Cheezies, the pizza place.......  Like I said, we were spoiled. 

Anyhoo.....  yesterdays shipment brought us 7 gypsies and you are just gonna love this new collection called "Camden".  Here are a few pictures of the various new items.....
