REMEMBER NATURE UNDER GLASS?

Lisa remembers..... and she sent it some time ago (a very long time ago..... so long we forgot) to Somerset to see if it was worthy of publication. It was and now it is - published that is. They managed to lose her name, but not the directions. It is in the most current Take Ten Catch Up issue on page 19. We are currently sold out, but have more on the way. If you took that class you might want a copy. After all..... you have your own original and it's been published!

CLASSES

We had a smashing time at Demo Day on Saturday and of course one of the highlights of the day is always the debut of next month's classes. No exception here...... these are some of the best so far..... so without further ado, here is the line-up!

SWEET NOTES - May 4, 6 & 7: A great line-up of cards perfect for any occasion including Mother's Day which will be the following weekend.

INCHIE'S PLUS - May 11, 13, & 14: Inspired by a technique from Hero Arts and Shari Carroll, you will enjoy making these if you are an "inchie" fan.

"FLY" CANVAS - May 20 & 21: A stunning canvas using Tim Holtz's new Birdcage and Bird Dies using grungeboard. Very cool. Great for your wall or as a gift.

DEMO DAY - SAT, MAY 22: Not quite the 3rd Saturday but since the 1st falls on a Saturday, it's a bit less confusing to hold it on the 3rd weekend. Remember it's always FREE, there is always a FREE Make-It-Take-It & the class schedule for the next month debuts

ARTSY CREATIONS - May 25, 27 & 28: Fun class that uses some of the new Tim Holtz dies and the Cover A Card stamps from Impression Obsession. Very cool.....

MY FAVORITE THINGS BOOK - SUN, May 29: Made from a really cool fabric like paper, this is a whimsical book you will just have to have. It also uses some of the really cute digital images from the Image CD's we brought in last month.

DEMO DAY IS SATURDAY, APRIL 17

Just in case you noticed, Demo Day is this Saturday, the 17th, not the 20th. A good friend pointed out yesterday that there was a BIG typo..... Sorry for the confusion.

Lisa has a fabulous demo planned as usual. She will be showing you a new technique from Impression Obsession using the Cover A Card background stamps and a few of their new stamps. You will really love this technique so make sure you get by sometime Saturday. Remember the demo is FREE, there is always a Make-It-Take-It and the class schedule for next month will be released. We'll be waiting for YOU!

ALICE IN WONDERLAND SWAPS

We extended the deadline and you may turn in your swaps on Demo Day and still be included. We've already gotten some really cool entries. Those participating may also purchase a 7 gypsies ATC display frame for 20% off. It comes in black or white. We will give them to you when you pick up your swaps next week (should be ready by Friday the 23rd).

MAGAZINES!!

Several Somerset Magazines have appeared. Earlier in the month Somerset Studio appeared and there is a great article featuring Alice in Wonderland art. If you're working on your Alice ATC swaps you can get a lot of inspiration here.

Somerset Apprentice sold out so quickly we ordered a few more. Somerset Life is exceptional this month. Take Ten always has great cards you can make in 10 minutes or less. Stamper's Sampler sold out in less than 4 hours but with the accidental double shipment we got, we still have copies available. It's outstanding.

Don't forget to come to our FREE demo on Saturday. You'll love making the Easter card Lisa designed and you can sign up for classes too.

APRIL 2010 CLASSES

"Life Is Good" as they say and this round of "Class Is Good" classes are no exception! You'll want to sign up for all of them! I know! I say that about every class schedule, but I declare it seems that Lisa's classes just get better and better..... Some day we will be able to say we knew her when we could afford her! LOL Just kidding Lisa..... You're the best and we will always be able to say we KNOW you! XOXOX

MEMORIES PHOTO BOX - April 1 & 2: Such a popular class last month it bears repeating. If you missed out the first time you can take it this time...... You know you want to!

SWEETNESS - April 6, 8 & 9: Cards using stamps from Hero Arts, Memory Box, Penny Black & Impression Obsession. Saweeeeeet for any occasion!

HAVE A SEAT - April 13, 16 & 17: This class has been requested due to the unusual versatility of B Line Designs Chair Duo stamp. Very artsy with very clever techniques. You will need to bring your Duo stamp. If you don't have one, we will be making an order just for this class so let us know when you sign up if you need it.

DEMO DAY - APRIL 20 - Always a Day of Fun! FREE with a FREE Make-It-Take-It! New Class schedule for May will be available. Remember to mark your calendar cuz you don't ever want to miss this.....

TECHNIQUE POPPIES - April 20, 22 & 23: Funny name, great cards. Same stamp, different techniques. You will need to bring the stamp. As with Have a Seat, we will be making an order just for the class so let us know if you need it when you sign up.

GIRLS & GALS - April 27, 29 & 30: As the name suggests, you will create lovely cards using stamps of little girls and big gals. Stamps from B Line Designs and Character Construction.

Remember to bring your "class kit" with you when you take classes. If you need a list of suggested supplies give us a call. It is basic paper crafting tools such as a ruler, pencil, tapes & glues, black ink pad..... very basic. Most supplies are provided including all papers. A list of supplies used is always emailed along with a photo of the cards or project you will be creating. Bring what you have to help keep things moving, but never sweat it if you don't have it.

DEMO DAY RESCHEDULED!

The airport is closed and so are we! Can you believe we are having a snow blizzard on the 1st day of Spring????

Well, needless to say, Demo Day has been rescheduled for next Saturday, the 27th. Lisa has a fabulous Easter Card planned and so we will make it next week.

Lisa's April class schedule will be on display and ready for sign-ups on Tuesday so feel free to come on by next week when the weather has improved. The photo and details will be here on the blog by Tuesday.

Alice in Wonderland ATC swap materials are available for pick-up. Due to the snow we are extending the "turn-in" deadline to Wednesday, April 14th. We're really excited about that..... The Alice in Wonderland stamps and collage papers we got are really fun and you will want to check them out.
