NEWEST SOMERSET MAGAZINES HAVE ARRIVED

Somerset Apprentice - SomErSet'S neWesT ..... This is the premiere issue and looks very interesting. Various well known artists share tips and techniques and their artwork. Get it quick before it's gone here and at the newstands!

Somerset digital studio ..... this issue is filled with wonderful digital art. If you are a digital photo/paper junkie artist like me, you'd better get it. Something for everyone in these pages and I'll fight ya for it.

Somerset Studio - You know it, you like it.....just get it. Featuring small canvas work and paper doll articles.

Take Ten - Great cards in 10 minutes or less how-tos. And you know it, like it and have to have it.

Blog Special: Surprise gift when you purchase all four!

Store Event: If you are so inclined to visit on Sunday we are having a Teaposy Tea Party from 2pm to 5pm. We are sampling Blooming Teas and "little bites" made from the cheeseball mixes that are not cheeseballs. Should be a blast.....hope you'll think about coming by.

New Class Schedule

MARCH CLASS SCHEDULE

If you were unable to attend Demo Day you missed the unveiling of another fabulous group of classes. We had a great deal of fun working with a new stamp set from Impression Obsession to create a wonderful ladybug card. I'll show you more about it later this week. Anyway.....here's the schedule for March. Be sure you drop by to sign up soon. There are plenty of spaces available, but as you know, classes fill quickly so don't miss out on an opportunity to take the classes you are most interested in.

SPRING BY MEMORY BOX - March 3, 5, & 6: You'll make 4 cards using new papers and images created by Memory Box.

HERO BY REQUEST - March 10, 12, & 13: This class was requested by one of our customers who fell in love with a group of cards on the Hero website. They are indeed stunning and you will enjoy creating these 4 cards.

TAG POCKET BOOK - Sunday, March 15: What would a schedule be without a great project class? This pocket book will be fun and you will be using a plethora of Tim Holtz goodies.

BIRTHDAY BASH - March 17, 19, & 20: An exciting group of birthday cards you will be glad you made. Included is a clever pop/pull card you'll enjoy making.

DEMO DAY - Saturday, March 21: Always FREE and always a Make-It-Take-It. Bring a friend and share the fun! New Class Schedule for April will be available.

EASTER/SPRING WITH MY FAVORITE THINGS - March 26, 27 & 29 (Sun): My Favorite Things is a relatively new stamp company that we've been offering for about a year. Their stamps have a certain joie de vive that we enjoy. New for them are papers and ribbons which you'll use in this class of cards they have created for Easter.

Remember, you must prepay to hold your place in class. Always bring your basic kit with you to class. If you need a list of basic supplies, give us a call and we'll be happy to run over the list with you.

HAVE YOU HEARD?

Many of you have heard rumored on various forums and blogs that Luminarte is going out of business and we found out late Friday night that it is indeed true. We are extremely sad to be saying good-bye to the makers of Twinkling H2O's and Shimmering Mists. These two products are beloved by many of our customers and we are very sad to be losing them. Although we do not have a large inventory, we received the 12 new colors of Shimmering Mists today. All H2O's and Mists in inventory will be offered at 20% off until gone.

SPECIAL ORDER FOR TWINKLING H2O'S & SHIMMERING MISTS
We are aware that many of you have begun collections of the H2O's and Shimmering Mists. Due to the impending closure of Luminarte, we are putting together a special order. If you are interested in special ordering any Luminarte products, please call or email NO LATER THAN Thursday at 10pm. You may leave a comment here on the blog. I'll check it Thursday night. If you are on our email list, you will receive an email later today with additonal instructions about the special order.

Special order information: You will receive 20% off retail and your order must be picked up within 2 days of notice that it has arrived. Orders not picked up will be placed in inventory and will be up for grabs.

Time is of the essence as these products will sell out quickly.

DEMO DAY
Just a quick reminder that Saturday is Demo Day. Remember it is come and go from 10am to 4pm. There is always a make-it-take-it and it is always FREE. Lisa's March class schedule will be available and you can sign up for classes while you are here.

We just got these really cool spring 12x12 papers with coordinating ribbon, brads, and mini clear stamp sets from Making Memories. You're gonna love using them in your Easter and Mother's Day cards and projects. Check 'em out quick......they are already flying off the shelves!

NEW! NEW! NEW!
I've been slackin in the reportin, but then, lately the new products have been flyin off the shelves faster than I can report. Here's a little reminder about the Tag Swap and a quick photo/description of what just arrived. And thank you for checkin in again!

Valentine Tag Swap - Still in progress. Your tags are due next Saturday, the 7th. Some are already here......really cool......Get with it! You'll be glad when you pick up yours on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14th. Very appropriate.


New Chalk Pad Colors - Really. We got Blackbird (it's black), Gray Whale (yes, gray), Popcorn (white - nice), Sour Apple (very interesting bluish green), Ocean (ooooh, so blue) and Toffee (pinkish taupe). Buy 'em - try 'em - you'll like 'em.

New Glues - New Favorites. Scrappy Glue - a favorite of one of our favorites, Miss Malone, this glue was once missing in action but now has been found. Try it, you'll like it. Alleenes Fast Grab Tacky Glue - Lisa's glue of choice. Always on the classroom trays. It's fast and tacky.

New Character Constructions - Oh Yeah Baby. Whole new collection called Bird & Bees Paperie. Very cool. Check it out!

New Ribbons - Yup.....really nice ones. New ones have chenile dots and are available in 5 colors. Several new colors of mini silk ribbon and now we have white and soft pink in the ivy leaf style. Brown with white dots is sheer.

NEW CLASS SCHEDULE

Well, immediately after the demo on Saturday, I headed off to Dallas for the gift market. So, I apologize for not getting this up on Tuesday as I normally do.

Remember you must prepay for your classes to reserve your spot in class. Always bring your class kit with you. If you need a list of what it should include, please let us know.

Sweet Sentiments: Jan. 27, 29th & 30th - The cards in this class are sweet and can be used for Valentines or everyday. It uses one of Hero's newest stamp sets.

Doll Gift Box: Feb 5 & 6 - This is an incredibly darling box. It is a lovely piece of art all by itself, but when filled with candy or anything else, it is a gift with a gift.

Sweet Nature: Feb 10, 12, & 13th - Lovely cards created with the new series of stamps from Character Constructions.

Demo Day: Saturday, Feb 21st - Always Free, Always a Make-It-Take-It. March class schedule will be available. Don't miss it!

Splash of Asian: Feb 24, 26, & 27th - These cards are made from a Hero clear set with an asian theme. A unique way of using these stamps allows you to create a set of cards that will have you guessing "Is it Asian or not?". The price of this class includes the set of stamps.

There is plenty of time to work on creating your tag masterpieces. I'll be happy to mail you a set of tags and instructions if you can't come by, so just "call me, don't be afraid, you can call me......." Tags will be due on February 7th which is just over two weeks away.
