New Stuff You're Gonna Want

More About the Latest Arrivals

The Tweezer Scissors
You heard about these in the post about the Birdcage Bird card. Here's a photo. These are selling like hotcakes! We got in a dozen and they were gone in 1 day so we ordered another 15. Same deal - gone in a day. We just got another 15 in today. You will love these scissors for detailed cutting. It makes it possible to cut into those little places you tend to just pass over because it's just too much trouble. Well no more.......these are even easier than an exacto knife for many applications.

New Papers
Lisa found the
coolest papers. There is a batch of 2-sided papers from Creative Imaginations (right photo below) with fabulous swirls or geometric stylized flowers. Back side features ledger graph on the other side of 2 and swirls on the other paper. There are 3 new papers from Heidi Swapp (left photo above) in beautiful shades of tan and brown. One features antique maps and would be really cool used on some sort of travel card or project.

Other New Stuff
In the basket you can see some really great clear sets from Autumn Leaves (new for us), printed tags and colored transparencies from 7 Gypsies, Swirly Heart punch by Anna Griffin and the grass punch that is used to make one of the frog cards on the Hero website. There are a number of new stamps from B Line, Penny Black, and new clear sets from Character Constructions.

Zutter Binder Last week a sweet customer arrived to purchase the only Zutter binder we had. She had been looking all over for it and had found it only one other place. It is a great tool for wire binding all kinds of things together. You can make books, or bind tags or ATC's from a swap into little memory books. Let you imagination run wild...... Since then we received our last order, we were advised that there has been a price increase as of midnight last night. We got in an under the wire order and will be able to offer these at the old price of $59.95. There are 3 in stock currently. If you ever thought you'd want one of these, get it now. The increased price will be just under $70.

That's it for now.......until next time..Happy Stampin'!

Magazines & New Stuff

As you know, we offer quite a few of Stampington & Co's magazines. Latest to arrive are the Spring 2008 editions of Somerset Workshop, Somerset Life and Artful Blogging. The Summer 2008 edition of Somerset Studio Gallery has also arrived. If you are feeling a lull in your creativity, these publications can be really inspirational and can get your creative juices a flowin'.

Lots of boxes arrived today so there will be a ton of new stuff on the shelves tomorrow. We got boxes from Penny Black, Hero, Character Constructions, B Line and a couple of our distributors. Looks like there are some new embossing powders, punches, 7 gypsies, 3 new papers, and mini square canvases. Hopefully we'll get a list here by tomorrow morning. I know it'll be on the shelf by the end of today.

That's about it for now.....Until next time....Happy Stampin'!

WELCOME BACK!

Hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend - I know we all did..... Anyway, Lisa created this really funky bird card and we just thought you might flap your wings for it. It's really simple and uses a minimum of supplies.

Supplies:
  • Black Versifine Ink Pad, Vintage Photo Distress Ink Pad
  • Versamark Pad
  • Brown, Cream & Blue Cardstock
  • CL140 Thinking of You Clear Design Set by Hero Arts
  • "Birdcage Bird" by Invoke Arts

  • Giga Scallop Circle Punch
  • 1/4" peach silk ribbon
  • Pearls embellishments by Hero Arts
  • Colored Pencils
  • Blue Marvy marker
  • Clear embossing powder

HOW TO:

Stamp Birdcage Bird in black on cream cardstock. Color bird's head and dress with colored pencils. Sponge "cage" skirt with Vintage Photo Distress ink using mini sponge dauber. Cut out and set aside. Ink mini birdcage area of Birdcage Bird in black, wiping away the ink on the birds. Ink birds with blue Marvy marker. Stamp on cream cardstock which has been sponged lightly with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Cover with Versamark ink and emboss in clear. Cut out and set aside. Punch blue cardstock with giga scallop circle punch. Set aside. Ink "tiny mesh border" stamp in black and stamp along left side of brown card. Sponge more black on the edges with dauber. Sponge edges of blue scalloped circle with black. Glue to brown card. Glue bird to card with head and shoulder area on top of bottom right part of blue scallop circle. Glue tiny birdcage cutout over corresponding cage of bird. Ink "there is no one like YOU" in black and stamp in upper left area of scallop circle. Make a tiny bow with the ribbon and glue to bird's neck. Attach 1 pearl (or more if you like) to the bird's blouse. Your card is now ready to be used!

DEMO DAY CARD

Quick & Easy - that's what this one is! Hero put out three new wood mounted sets called Playful Prints. We made the demo card using the "Lily Pad Greetings" exclusively. You'll like the other two called "Bird Greetings" and "School Animals" as well. If you would like a copy of Hero's new catalog supplement called "More Spring 2008", come by and we'll give you one. As one of Hero's premiere dealers we're priveledged to be able to give you these supplements for FREE!

Anyhoo....here's what you need to make this card:
  • Cardstock in cream, orange, lime green, and bright blue.
  • Green & cream striped cardstock
  • Keylime H2O
  • Y&C black permawriter (or black fine point pen)
  • Inkssentials Opaque White pen
  • clear embossing powder
  • Giga scallop circle punch
  • Mega circle punch
  • Black Versafine ink pad
  • Paper glue of your choice
Directions:

Cut cream card stock 8-1/4 X 4-1/4 inches and fold in half making a 4-1/4 X 4-1/4 inch square. Cut 4 inch square out of striped cardstock. Punch scallop circle out of orange cardstock. Punch circle out of lime green and bright blue cardstocks. Cut blue circle into two pieces dividing it in thirds. Glue green circle to orange scalloped circle. Glue 1/3 piece of blue to the green circle. Glue to striped card. Stamp frog, thought bubble, and saying of your choice inside the bubble (we used "thinking of you"). Emboss all in clear. Paint frog with H2O and cut out. Cut out only the thought balloon. Glue frog and thought baloon onto card. Draw 2 or 3 circles with the black pen and fill with the white pen. Card can open from top to bottom or side to side - it's your choice!

Hope you enjoy making this cute card. Until next time.....Happy Stampin'!
