April 24 2022

May 2022 Classes

What a great Preview Day we had on Saturday.  We used the new Tim Holtz Foundry Wax, an embossing folder and stamp/die set from AlteNew and inks from Catherine Pooler.  We hadn't done a mixed media tag in a long time and it was fun to experiment with the Foundry Waxes.

You could use this tag in an art journal or attach it to the front of a z-fold card on a friendship card.  I can tell you that everyone had fun making it and no two tags were alike!

Lisa brought a fabulous class schedule for May.  I hope you'll get by this week to see them in person if you couldn't make it on Saturday.  I should have the website updated by Wednesday.  Lisa will be in the store on Tuesday morning and she can answer questions and get you signed up too!

Here's the schedule for MAY!

Stencil Fun Cards - $30
Thursday, May 5
10:30 am OR 6 pm

We previewed this class with the April classes but it's got openings in both classes.  It's really fun because you will use stencils in a variety of ways and because of the techniques used you will be able to decorate your envelopes in a very unique way.  I promise you'll use these techniques again and again!

Fun Kids Birthday Cards - $30
Thursday, May 12
10:30 am OR 6 PM

We've had a lot of requests for cards suitable for kids.  We know you have a lot of grandkids and these cards are appropriate for just about any age.  Stamps are from Penny Black and Colorado Craft and are even appropriate for some of your older friends and relatives too!  You'll use watercolors and stencils in addition to the stamps.  Bright! Colorful! and FUN!

Art Journal Saturday - $20
May 14
9 am OR 2 PM

You bring the art journal and we supply most all the rest!  Lisa was working in 2 journals when she created the April page that I asked her to go ahead and share the second page she created.  We'll be using the Gloss Sprays of Dina Wakley again.  This will be our third time to play with them and I think all of you will be experts by the time we finish this third rendition.  They certainly are a different way to create art and we love it.

All Occasion Cards - $30
Thursday, May 19th
10:30 am OR 6 pm

Catherine Pooler's newest release is filled with wonderful stamp images and dies.  I think you'll love sending these cards and using the ideas in a wide array of colors and with a number of diffferent stamps.  These ares are perfect for friends, neighbors and family members.  You'll enjoy learning a few new inking techniques as well.

Preview Day
Saturday, May 21
10 am to 4 pm
Come and Go
Free

Preview Day is a big day and we love sharing it with you.  Lisa's June classes will be on display and you can enroll in the ones that grab you.  Bring a friend and enjoy our FREE Make 'n Take as well as browse the new products that have arrived during the last month.

2 for 1 Cards - $35
Thursday, May 26
10:30 am OR 6 pm

Let me just say that when you can create 2 cards at the same time you can make a stash of cards very quickly.  Lisa will show you how to create 2 different cards using the same main stamp or die.  This class also has a variety of techniques that you'll want to use again and again.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

The store will be closed Friday, May 27 through Monday, May 30 for the Memorial Day holiday. Lisa and I hope you have a wonderful and safe weekend with family or friends as we start the summer off by remembering those who gave their lives in service to protect our freedoms and our country.
