I am very excited to announce that Paula Cheney will be teaching the next workshops to be held at My Heart's Fancy. Paula is the Creative Coordinator for Tim Holtz Brands. If you are not familiar with Paula, run on over to her website, "One Lucky Day". I am very impressed with her creativity using all things Tim and her very broad and complete understanding of all things Ranger! We are very lucky that Paula had a spot in her very busy calendar to come teach these three workshops.

VINTAGE MEETS MODERN

Friday, May 1

4 pm to 8 pm

Have you ever wondered how to mix bright colors with vintage style? In this workshop of experimentation you will learn the basics of Distress including the use of inks and stains for coloring, markers for tinting and stencils for layering. Our final result will be this bright Worn Cover Journal with five collaged pockets of positive messages. Each page can be personalized with color and message so your journal can be your own.

BEAUTIFUL WORLD FOLIO

Saturday, May 2

The Collection Folio is the perfect, interactive surface to capture your story. Each folio is constructed with 4 gusseted folding panels and a cascading spine for attaching photos and layers of memorabilia. The folio folds and securely closes with elastic bands, keeping all of your memories safely inside. We will transform this simple foundation using products from idea-ology, Ranger and Sizzix into a cleverly layered book that unfolds to tell your story in a very unique way. Grab your tool kit, pack your apron and get ready to get your hands dirty!

FLY AWAY

SATURDAY, MAY 2

From the serene colors to the miniature glass domes, this 6"x 6" Configurations box will capture your heart. Learn how to use distress Paint and Alcohol Ink together to bring the glass and metal pieces, like the new Foundry Frame, to life.  So many techniques and small details like faux soldering to the domes to vintage lace on the dress. This piece is sure to be a keepsake for yourself or someone you love!

Class size is limited to 20. The store will be closed to the public during the workshops in order to provide you with a more enjoyable experience.
