WELCOME BACK!

Hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend - I know we all did..... Anyway, Lisa created this really funky bird card and we just thought you might flap your wings for it. It's really simple and uses a minimum of supplies.

Supplies:
  • Black Versifine Ink Pad, Vintage Photo Distress Ink Pad
  • Versamark Pad
  • Brown, Cream & Blue Cardstock
  • CL140 Thinking of You Clear Design Set by Hero Arts
  • "Birdcage Bird" by Invoke Arts
  • "Tiny Mesh Border" by Alesa Baker for Impression Obsession
  • Giga Scallop Circle Punch
  • 1/4" peach silk ribbon
  • Pearls embellishments by Hero Arts
  • Colored Pencils
  • Blue Marvy marker
  • Clear embossing powder
  • Glue or double stick tape
HOW TO:

Stamp Birdcage Bird in black on cream cardstock. Color bird's head and dress with colored pencils. Sponge "cage" skirt with Vintage Photo Distress ink using mini sponge dauber. Cut out and set aside. Ink mini birdcage area of Birdcage Bird in black, wiping away the ink on the birds. Ink birds with blue Marvy marker. Stamp on cream cardstock which has been sponged lightly with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Cover with Versamark ink and emboss in clear. Cut out and set aside. Punch blue cardstock with giga scallop circle punch. Set aside. Ink "tiny mesh border" stamp in black and stamp along left side of brown card. Sponge more black on the edges with dauber. Sponge edges of blue scalloped circle with black. Glue to brown card. Glue bird to card with head and shoulder area on top of bottom right part of blue scallop circle. Glue tiny birdcage cutout over corresponding cage of bird. Ink "there is no one like YOU" in black and stamp in upper left area of scallop circle. Make a tiny bow with the ribbon and glue to bird's neck. Attach 1 pearl (or more if you like) to the bird's blouse. Your card is now ready to be used!

Did you find the bird a bit difficult to cut out? We have just the tool for you.......TWEEZER SCISSORS! You won't want to be without these! We sold out of our first order in just 2 days and have another batch on the way. They should be in by Friday so call or come by to get yours. The cost is just $13.

Until next time.......Happy Stampin'!
