NATHALIE KALBACH
RETURNS!

New Workshops

JUNE 16-18

Nathalie is returning for the 3rd time and she has 3 ah-mazing workshops for you to take.  Seriously, she always teaches us so much.  Challenging? Yes.... but she teaches you the techniques that will have you making masterpieces you didn't know you could create!

Get ready to "Stroll Through the Hood" to find "The Magic of Acrylics" and then arrive to learn "What's Cooking"!  Here is what you can expect.....

STROLL THROUGH THE HOOD
Friday, June 16
2:30 - 6 pm
$75

Let's create a beautiful little wall hanging for your home, office, or beyond!

We will begin by creating a colorful, patterned background.  Then we'll take it further by adding scenery using stamps, graphite, paints and other supplies. Finally we will add detail and highlights to pull the landscape together.  We will be working on Ampersand Clayboard which offers a special and exciting surface to create your Mixed Media work on.

Nathalie will be sharing her new stamps by Rubber Moon, Archival Ink Pads in various colors and Art Graf water-soluable graphite.

YOU will need to bring:  2-3 Ampersand Clayboard in 5"x7", 5-8 colors of acrylic paint, medium bristle brush, a couple of very small fine tip paint brushes for detail work, a craft or Xacto knife, Black Archival Ink Pad and an apron to protect your clothes.

THE MAGIC OF ACRYLICS
Technique & Abstract Painting
Saturday, June 17
10 am - 5 pm (1 hr included for lunch)
$115

Join Nathalie for a full-day class exploring all kinds of different Acrylic Media - from Dumbledore to Merlin, from Acrylic Paints to Acrylic Inks, from String Gel to Pouring Medium, from Modeling Past to Black Lava and other fun stuff!

Learn their magic - and put an end to the mystery of how to use these amazing helpers in your Mixed Media and/or Art Journaling projects.  The first half of the class will be technique based and in the second half you will put your own spell onto 3 abstract canvas paintings.  After this class you will have a lot of fun waving your new magic acrylic want whenever you create!

Nathalie will bring heavy body paints, acrylic inks, the mediums listed in the description, her stamps from Rubber Moon, ArtFoamies and Stampendous and her stencils from Stencil Girl Products!

YOU will need to bring: 3 canvas boards or stretched canvases (6x6 or 8x8), 10 shipping tags (#10 size) (or watercolor paper cut to 4"x8"), white gesso, gel medium, fluid medium, 8-10 colors of acrylic paint, black & white acrylic paint, a small variety of brushes (bristle, medium flat, small round, fan), palette knife, non-stick craft sheet, heat gun, apron to protect clothing.

WHAT'S COOKING?
Sunday, June 18
10 am to 5 pm (1 hr included for lunch)
$115

What makes an Art Journal spread, or for that matter a work of art, work?

Let's explore in a playful and creative way the Principles and Elements of Art, using Mixed Media tools and supplies.  Think of the principles as you might think of a recipe: a starting point to which we add the right ingredient - the elements - to make your art journal pages more interesting.  Develop your individual recipes, which will result in your very own style. - LET'S GET COOKING!

Nathalie will bring her stamps by Rubber Moon, ArtFoamies, and Stampendous, her stencils by Stencil Girl Products, Artgraf water soluble graphite, Derwent Art Bars, Neocolor II water soluable wax bars and acrylic markers.

YOU will need to bring:  Your art journal (large Dylusions recommended), white gesso, matte gel medium, 8-10 colors of Acrylic Paint, black & white acrylic paint, water color set (if you have one), assortment of paint brushes (bristle, wide flat, medium flat, small round and fan, and a few smaller brushes for your watercolors), rubber brayer, palette knife, black archival ink pad, heat gun, small misting bottle, apron to protect clothing.
