Enchanted Butterfly Collage

As I mentioned yesterday, I was going to post the picture of the signed Collage Art that Dave Brethaur of Memory Box sent us. Ok, so I fudged a little..... the picture is of the happy winner of the drawing holding the collage. I mentioned to several people on Demo Day that Lisa and I decided we had to give it away or there might be a cat fight between us.... Someone suggested we sell tickets for said cat fight.... hmmmmm......... Anyway, everyone who attended Demo Day on Saturday last was given an entry for a drawing for the art piece and our lucky winner was Kelly Walker! She's thrilled and so are we. She is a very talented mixed media artist, poet and general all around lovely person. She has a very sweet blog called Dragonfly Reflections. Congratulations Kelly!

And for those of you who are interested in how it was made or want to make one for yourself, here are the instructions (click on the link, silly!). The pictures Dave shows on the blog aren't the exact one we gave away, but the stamped part is. Now, go enjoy!

That's it for now..... Until next post..... Happy Stampin'!

MAY 2010

We had a wonderful time Saturday creating a lovely card inspired by Dave Brethaur of Memory Box. He also gave us a wonderful piece of his artwork using the stamp we used and demo participants entered a drawing to win it..... The Lucky Winner is Kelly Walker! I'll post a pic of the art and give you a link to the complete instructions tomorrow.

Please make a note that we will be closed Friday and Saturday this week for Memorial Day Weekend. Lisa does have 2 classes scheduled and they will be held so don't worry if you are signed up for them.
Lisa's class schedule is outstanding as usual. There are a few repeats from May as there were several long waiting lists for some of the project classes.

Without further ado, here is the schedule.....

JUST CHARMING - June 3 & 4th: Four absolutely "charming" cards will be made using new papers, stamps and techniques.

METAL FRONT JOURNAL - June 6th: This is a lovely journal that was a project class several years ago. It was hanging around on the counter and a whole bunch of people said they would like to do it so here you go! This is easy peasy and absolutely gorgeous.

MASCULINE CARDS - June 8,10 & 11: Man cards! Good timing for Father's Day but good for any occasion.

"FLY" CANVAS - Sunday, June 13: This is a repeat from May. Long waiting list so be sure you get signed up quickly as this class will fill fast.

MY FAVORITE THINGS BOOK - Thursday, June 17: Also a repeat. Same thing as the "Fly" Canvas - long waiting list so if you want to do this one, get signed up quick.

DEMO DAY - Saturday, June 19th: Always FREE, Always a FREE Make-It-Take-It, and July Class Schedule will be available.

TOUCH OF NATURE - June 22, 24 & 25: Stunning cards made with an embossing resist technique using Distress Inks on a craft sheet. Two of the cards have unusual openings.

GRAPHIC 45 ACCORDIAN - June 29 & July 2nd: Really cool accordian book in a box. ATC sized pages could be recreated as ATC's for trading. Inchie squares are featured so you will need a 1" square punch for this class.

That's it for now..... Until next post..... Happy Stampin'!

Oh boy, get ready for some real fun. We will be making a really cool card from a brand new Memory Box stamp. It is gorgeous and you won't want to miss this one!

Remember that Demo Day is FREE! Make-it-Take-it is FREE! AND the new class schedule for June will be ready! Come and go from 10 am to 4 pm (we start packing it up at 4 so please arrive no later than 3:45 if you want to do the Make-it-Take-it).

If you haven't already read it, Lisa's email contains a synopsis of what's new. One of the newest things you are just gonna have to have is "The Crafty Chronicle". It's inexpensive and you can do so much with it.

Check out this video to see how to use it.....

That's it for now..... Hope to see you Saturday..... until next post..... Happy Stampin'!

Just a reminder that Demo Day will be Saturday, the 22nd (which is 1 week from Saturday). Wouldn't want you to miss it and it's technically the 4th Saturday of the month rather than the 3rd. It's always confusing when the 1st falls on a Saturday or Sunday so we often use the Saturday at the end of the 3rd week. Hope you'll join us. It's FREE and come & go from 10am to 4pm. We pack it up at 4 so please try to make it by 3:45 if you want to do the Make-It-Take-It.

New 7 gypsies..... theme is called Avignon and it's fun.

Assortment of embellishments

Assortment of papers

New Hero Hues..... there is more to come, but this is the 1st of it. It's all color cordinated making it easy to create a fast card without having to overthink what color goes with what..... as you can see we got the chalk pads, mixed card packs (and envelopes which aren't pictured) and matching fabric flowers.

You're gonna want some of all of it so hurry on over and get it quick!

That's it for now..... until next post..... Happy Stampin'!
